A little revolution is good for the soul pops. And the nations soul as well. I've no problem with that at all. It's what our next generation is there for, to stir the pot. Our idea of nasty, isn't like the Middle East. A few buses and barricades burning will be enough to bring the privileged few back into line. When the fires are out, and our politicians have taken heed, we'll still be a nation to be proud of.
A lot of people criticize the French farmers when they block roads etc but by f**k it makes the politicians sit up and take notice
My anger is with Politicians that have no shame, who do not serve anyone apart from their own selfish agenda- like the Tory Philip Davies who uses cynical filibustering tactics to block a law on a worthwhile campaign to give carers free parking at hospitals - Davies droned on for 90 minutes yesterday with empty worthless rhetoric using up the all the allotted parliamentary debate time to stop the vote and think it funny to do so - ****s like him boil my piss ...
A very good read VJ and a good post by Billy as well. Rooch is right. I never voted cos they are all there to line their pockets and couldnt give a flying one about the working man. btw we can beat them. We can stick together.
What i can't understand now is if the house of Lords can block something the British public voted for ( right or wrong ) what is the point of voting anyway, totally does my head .
They can block or delay Parliament legislation using only statutory instruments in certain circumstances depending on how the bills are put before Parliament. They don't have the power of veto. That would cause a constitutional crisis. The ruling party will always get their way through both houses, even if in the end they have to bulldoze a bill through over the heads of the House of Lords. The peoples Parliament has the final say.
