ditto - The La's Worked behind bar in Windmill, Beverley back in the day with a Scouse lass, she was a go-er and her first words were "do you fancy me?" that's the end of my contribution too... 's gonna get ya!!
We are missing the best player in the championship last year (when fit) in Aluko, our best player from the start of the season in Brady, and player's player of the year from last season in Quinn. With those three creative players along with a decent striker we could have done even better this season.
Good game lads, you got the ball down and played your football which is nice to see and you'll comfortably stay up this season. Thought the Coutinho and Henderson misses would come back to bite us on the ass but luckily we have Suarez.. Keep him quiet all game but it just takes one moment for him to pull a rabbit out of the hat. 3-3, we win on away goals Good luck for the rest of the season ladies.
We lacked any pace compared to liverpool which was our biggest problem. Missing Brady and Aluko Good game anyway pal!
I thought it was pretty **** tbh, we were nothing like we can be and you weren't that amazing either. Coutinho looked very good at times and Suarez is just a world class player, he's still a horrible ratty diving **** though Likewise to you, not sure if you'll make top 4 though, a lot of competition there but you definitely have a good chance as long as Suarez stays fit.
Injuries hindered both teams in my opinion. Coutinho was good but he looks too desperate to score, whether Rodgers has put extra pressure on him scoring goals is debatable. Interesting that you mention Suarez, people can say what ever they like about him, but I've never seen anyone get kicked around a pitch in modern day football as much as he does! And more often than not, no foul. I think this is one of the problems, diving and simulation is rightly deemed unacceptable, but the refs are very much to blame, they seem to only be willing to give the free-kick if the player goes down. Huddlestone by the way, fantastic player. Would like to see him play for England in the Summer, always has his head up and knows exactly what's around him.. You can't teach that.
Magic, Skrtel seemed to behave himself better today, I wonder if that's as a result of a chat from Rodgers? He's a good player when he's not being a twat. Suarez on the other hand is a petulant whiney ref nagging tosspot. I dunno why over the last few years, but the decent foreign strikers have to be such detestable twats, seems such a shame. I thought Gerrard showed his class too when he appeared, you'll miss him when he's gone. Felt a little sorry for Couthino, he tried his best, but luckily for us we have a great goalie. Other than that, we didn't pass as well as we normally do, our off ball running was ****e, and we just looked like the 10 day rest for some of them is well needed. Can't see you finishing top 4, you'll end up missing Suarez for the ineveitable 3 game ban, and something just seemed a little off with your team today. imo ofc
Skrtel was impressive today, he's improved a lot with the ball at his feet, shame we can't keep our back four fit, though. I think a lot of people jump on the Suarez bandwagon, he's behaved well since his return. The problem is, the form he's in opponents have to rough him up, you can't allow the man any space or he'll tear you apart. He got smashed today but he never shies away from receiving the ball and trying the same things, he's always up for the fight and has amazing work-rate, yeah he can be impulsive and do silly things but he's nowhere near as bad as people make out. If he wasn't such a good player he'd be nowhere near as "hated". Though some of the stuff he does we as LFC fans can't defend, the bite being one of them. You weren't at your best but Southampton aside that's probably the best opposing performance against us at Anfield this season - and that says a lot about our home form. Get a good number 10 to play ahead of Huddlestone and you'll have something great in my opinion, a Huddlestone, Livermore and Coutinho trio would be quite immense.
