Not sure what the origin of this issue is. Stadium has been open almost 14 years now, and apart from the graffiti in August no publicised incidents of major vandalism or 'terrorism' (titter). The walkway from Argyle st to the ground is an eyesore. Broken glass underfoot, Polish beer cans and soft drinks bottles dumped in large quantities on one side, two knackered old horses grazing on the other side. The footbridges over the railway lines attract low level kids graffiti which gets painted over regularly. (Why not commission a Hull City Heroes mural like the Headscarf Revolutionaries one? It must work out cheaper than repainting it every six weeks) Could it be that the real issue is the **** state of the walkway caused by litter/vandalism, and the relatively high cost of maintaining it? And to think we have state of the art CCTV down there...... As regards bombs etc, I would have thought suicide jackets would do more human damage than a pre timed one. It would be difficult (but not impossible) to plant a bomb inside the ground during the week. I would have thought a bomb on the bridge, or the A63, or the ferries, or the railway lines into Hull would cause far more disruption and chaos.
