I use a laptop with touchpad Smokey, not a plug-in mouse. I admit I am probably in a minority however.

I hate laptop touch pads. Thankfully my work have upgraded ours to touch screen. But I use a mouse for my home PC

Haven't used a cable plug-in mouse for years, use a wireless one with the dongle thing in a USB port. Don't have touchscreen as I have no need for it. Get on pretty well with the racing websites, although Racing Post is virtually useless if one is not a 'member', and ATR is annoying at start-up. Am pretty happy though, as I can get video replays quickly with ATR and a couple of other sites.

On hardware accessories, have found Logitech to be the best. Had a lot of trouble with Microsoft stuff, e.g. its mouse and its keyboard (prefer to use an independent keyboard rather than the one on the PC itself, hence use a Logitech keyboard.)

Just scroll with 2 fingers. Scroll bars are from the 90s.

A touchpad made in the last decade will support 2 finger scrolling.

My work one didn't. That was my point. Cheap **** and annoying. Now I have a touch screen for work but don't use a laptop at home.

I'm a but of a luddite, so I'm slow to change when it comes to tech stuff. Like everyone else I started with a tower but converted to a laptop when all the cable connections to the tower became a pain. Laptops were like a breath of fresh air. But 2 days ago, I found I was still stuck in the past. My wife's tower crashed and so we went a shopping for a replacement. We ended buying something I didn't know even existed, an all in one with a 27 inch screen. The thing is brilliant. Once my trusty Acer crashes, I know what I'm going to buy.

I wouldn't trust them, they constantly break and not usually good value for money. Get a docking station for a laptop and you're sorted.

Yes, I use a wireless mouse. Never use a touchpad, hate them, I've locked mine so it's inactive when using a mouse as I tend to have my mouse on the laptop. I do have a wired mouse as backup as it can be very annoying when the battery runs out and there isn't a spare one handy

In these covid days ............ canned audience/crowd noise - it adds nothing except ridicule <steam>

Watching snooker where you can see clearly (should you not have been aware) that no one is sitting in the seats, then there is spontaneous applause at what is someone's opinion of a good shot. Bullsh1t, just stop it. We know they are "behind closed doors" so stop pretending they aren't. :headbang:

It isn't free though is it Oddy. The Sky Sports package must cost something because we pay £75pm for something. We've just got RMC Sport and thinking of ditching the Sky Sports. All the best racing is on ITV now and all the Sky Sports Racing can be watched soon after the finish via ATR web site. Not sure it's worth that much to me.

No I meant the Dubai Racing channel is free online. They switch between Racing TV and Sky Sports Racing feeds but with little or no logic to my mind (they switched from Racing TV just before the start of the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase to show some stakes race from Milan).
