Sounds like it would be more interesting if you turned off the air conditioning <whistle>

Jumper update - of the 6 women who work in the office 4 of them have brought a little jumper, not a thick winter number a summer thin one, just to take the chill off them while the office drops down in temperature due to the AC running in the office...!?!? <laugh><laugh>

And just to balance it up, of the 4 men in the office, 1 is wearing a gansey over his shirt, but he is an old man who moans like Victor Meldrew all day, with the other 3 sat happily in the office with short sleeved shirts...<ok>

Come the winter we will all be looking like Michelin man wrapped up in about 30 layers of clothing...!!! <doh> <yikes> <laugh>

  5. Went for a stroll around London today. It seems the latest way to part the tourists from their money on the South bank of the Thames is to have them pay to have a poem written about them. If i believed in romance i could just about see that it may be a romantic thing for a partner to do - and obviously it's rather sweet for parents to do it for little ones.
However if there are genuinely people who want to pay a stranger to write a poem for them I suggest they save their cash. I'll happily do it free of charge for the conceited self obsessed fanny spanners. If they're expecting Keats they'll be disappointed though - it'll be more John Cooper Clark

Not too much surprise the general responses to this Tweet from Andrew Neil:

Do As I Say, Not Do As I Do.
    What a bunch of hypocrites.
Why are Google not doing this as an online video conference?
    Is Greta Thunberg rowing there?
Is Emma Thompson at this one?
Celebrities and the wealthy telling the plebs to act on climate change while they continue in their ways.
Did Prince Harry tell them they have too many kids?
Have the BBC sent a thousand staff to cover it?

It was sad to see the obituary for cricketer Malcolm Nash yesterday, but he must be spinning in his box that it was headlined with his most infamous achievement – being hit for six sixes by Garry Sobers – rather than about his own positive achievements with Glamorgan in the 60s and 70s.

I cannot recall, but when Don Fox passed, his obituary was probably headlined with the missed conversion in the 1968 Challenge Cup final that handed Leeds the trophy rather than his positive achievements as a player in the 50s and 60s.

Another 20 deaths at the hands of a racist pig. I know this is an other moan by me and others, but why the **** won't the powers that be in the US listen when it comes to meaningful gun control?

  12. You guessed right about Don Fox. It's inevitable that their most famous moments will be the ones mentioned first but it does seem a shame.
Puts one in mind of Sir John Gielgud's passing being reported in the Sun as " Dudley Moore's Butler dies" <doh>

I don't think it matters who is in charge. Obama was keen on gun control but wasn't really able to do anything effective because there's too many people who don't want to change.

No guns in mainland Europe but the lunatics still find weapons for mass murder - trucks for example.

It's nowhere near the scale of gun killings America, you do know that more have died in the USA than in all the overseas wars they've been involved in !!! Just let that sink in !!
