everyone loves an optimist! We've got used over the last 2 and a half years to going into games expecting to win them. Not because we will, but because thats our managers attitude, and the best way to get a win is to fearlessly go for it. So yes, we may be a little overexcited at times, but close things like the man u game last week don't help us keep grounded! And i know a fair few QPR fans who spoke about getting European football next year, so we all have our optimists! Anyway, i like this idea that we stop the **** chucking for a while, long may it continue!
Can't believe the 'mid-table envy' of our fans on here. Well done Norwich! Good luck to you, Delia, Lambert and the rest. Wish it was us but I think the programme showed pretty clearly why we were always going to struggle this season.
My theory is he is just a front man for Mittals money, we all saw Bhatia/Mittal try to buy a controlling interest in the film, Fernandes doesnt have enough money so I think hes just a front man for the other guys.
We have 2 owners. If one leave that still means we are secure. If yours leaves then you are in trouble. We have a safety net most other clubs dont have.
The thing about the 4 year plan is it's all AFTER we'd been through **** like administration, player deaths (havent seen 4yp for ages so cant remember if it does talk about this) etc...
Why would a fan who happens to be the majority shareholder leave us? I really don't understand the reasoning behind what you said.
People leave, even if they are fans. Read up on what Chris Wright did to us and he was supposed to be a fan. The reasoning is if either a) the manager leave or b) she leaves. You are screwed. If our owner leaves we had another owner ready and waiting, if out manager leaves, we will have another manager at least on the same level. Norwich will not.
Isn't this all getting a bit silly now? 9s picked the thread from another post as he has for a few clubs after the screening and the interpretation has been interesting and consistent. There was a line in the OP that could be seen as condescending but there is a fine line between that and pride. I'm sure if someone from another board picked out some of our posts they'd think us arrogant about our financial position and ambition (that perhaps doesn't quite befit our current league position). Any team is a one or two key individuals away from decline (Man U and Fergie for example) and we're currently looking good with our two owners (long may it last). The NCFC guys on this thread are pretty impartial and, if anything, supportive (and not representative of all that **** flying about after our last encounter). In fact, their input is welcome as much as the likes of FT and District IMO. This is coming from someone based in Ipswich for 33 years who's girlfriend is an ITFC season ticket holder and who personally doesn't particularly like Norwich. The reaction just seems a bit overblown that's all.
FFS, Lambert isn't the best manager in the country!!! How the hell do you know we won't be able to replace him with somebody on the same level - you know nothing about our club or owners as we don't deem it necessary to make a film about how our club was/is run. What if we stay up this season, QPR go down and come next March, Lambert leaves for a bigger club and Hughes leaves QPR for lets say, Aston Villa. Do you think you will still be able to attract the same quality of manager we could?
Lambert is the best Norwich could get. QPR could always attract a better manager because of the backing and money to spend, the promise of world class training facilities and a new ground, thats why Hughes came.
Its no good having world class training facilities and a ground you can't fill when you might be in the Championship. If you are in the Championship, you won't be able to attract the same manager as we could if we are in the Premier League - there can be no doubt about that.
Oh yes there can, everyone I know whos been to Norwich say its a horrendous place to be and theres nothing to do. QPR have way more potential and London is a much better place to live. If Norwich are so attractive, why were they only able to buy NPC players?
Oh deary, deary me. They were the players Lambert wanted. He wants young, hungry players that want to improve themselves at a progressive club. He doesn't want to bring in has been's, players that only want the money and players that will want to leave as soon as we get relegated (if we do). I'm from Norwich, lived there for 20 years before moving to Ealing Common for work. I was there for two years but I saw more that disturbed me in those two years than the 20 years spent in Norwich. Its down to personal taste - if someone comes to look around the club, but doesn't like the surroundings, that's not a problem. We want players that want to concentrate on playing football, not if they can get a Moroccan take away at 4 in the morning.
rangercol, it was written on a NORWICH fan site. Of course its going to be compared to Norwich's situation, especially as we had our potentially disastrous boardroom moment 2 years ago. The OP never suggested the program did mention Norwich, hes just comparing. With Norwich. On a fansite about norwich. I'm sure if there was a program about portsmouth, he would have compared the situation with Norwich too. It may seem patronising now that its sitting on a QPR forum, but it wasn't written for you. It was written for people interested in Norwich.
i thought we were going to give being nice to each other a go? I live in london now, and trust me, Norwich is a pretty idyllic place to go back to at times. Also, how long do our NPC players have to impress and perform against the best players in the country before they get to be called PL players?
