First comment is a wholly sensible one: He is covering the Rangers story because he is a journalist. It is pretty big stuff, nationally. There must be times when he is wondering what the hell he has got himself into. Until today I had never heard of the so-called dalek jibe – I recall the tragic New Year when the Ibrox disaster happened and the effect it had – it is an utterly vile association and I truly doubt that Alex Thomson intended to construe it in the way you have suggested. You would need to elaborate on who his ‘source’ in this case is and expand upon when and where these jibes were made because I am not aware of this, until now. Then the descent into madness begins: Findlay:I was about 6 when the Ibrox disaster happened, in fact I was attending the school at Ibrox. I was really too young to understand why so many of my family were upset. Well I’m 47 now and I do understand what a tragic day that was, what I find hard to understand now is why fans (if that is the right word) of certain clubs i.e. the sheep and the tims celebrate the deaths of innocent people. Now up until yesterday I’d never heard the “dalek” jibe, understood it perfectly though. It just shows them up for the filth they are, but of course in president salmond’s scotland there are only Protestant, Loyalist and Rangers supporting bigots. John:I remember the Ibrox disaster I was a kid at school but I still remember the funerals 2 at ST Andrews Cathedrial why ? 2 of the dead were celtic fans who lived in Copeland Road a father & his young son so these pathetic excuse’s of human beings mock their own. Stephen:The sneering arrogance of this sub-human defies belief…We as the RANGERS FAMILY cannot and will not stand for these slurs to go unchecked or indeed unreported..Bill dont you or Leggo falter in your pursuit of him and his cronies.. I think that even ch4 cannot let that reptile stay in a job?? We should ALL COMPLAIN to his bosses and ensure that at the very least he has no job!
get a ****ing grip 30 years (ok i was a kid but still) ive followed celtic and never, not ****ing once, have i heard any reference to daleks - countless old firm games where it would have been said/sung - nothing. and is he really suggesting that the temptation (if they were referred to as daleks) to shout "exterminate" en masse this past season would have been passed up? ****ing paranoid loonball ****
They were probably setting up tripwires at the time, but got caught up in the crush, Rangers did not want to shame Celtic so covered up for them. Probably
This Does Not Compute Exterminate Eeeeexxxxterminaaaaaaaaate In case you cannae tell yet, I'm gonna run like **** with this
