Nope, not joking. In fact there were quite a few people already wearing new away kit. I came into this thread thinking it was created yesterday as some here couldn't find them, I saw them in the stores I expected them to be in.
My brother said the same thing when I told him my woman took a big load on her face, I had no pic then.
They got the away kit for sale and the home kit if your 10yr old or under !! I have the away kit, but of course you cant buy the adult home kit or the kids away kit or any training kit or leisure wear as they don't have any! Im glad that so many of you are happy to settle for second best service and **** excuses, that's exactly why the poor performance of our commercial department continues There were reported problems with the home kit which were apparently damaged/stained with ink, that is of course down to addidas but not one of you can defend the club when it comes to the way we run things commercially. A big splash turned into a damp squib and there is no getting away from that . In terms of leisurewear and training kit there is nothing to get your hands on, irrelevant of any problems with the supplier the kit should be sold with te complete range of cloathing to maximise sales and not sold out in bits and pieces .
I have no problem with the shirt being late as adidas have admitted it's their fault. As for the shop, don't get me started, they couldn't organise a pi$$ up in a brewery.
Adidas fault with the kit, and your right Noway they have bugger all to sell and our commercial department is piss poor.
Adidas have been ****ing us about from day 1 by the looks of it. I believe they are gone next year anyway. If we are still in the prem league then I feel we should use a company that doesn't have us at the bottom of the list in terms of priorities . There are no excuses for such failiures nowadays. The problem with the home shirt is bad enough but to not have any training kit or things attached to the new kit launch is pretty much unforgivable in the modern world. If we think small time we will be small time! we have had a massive stroke of luck these last few seasons but now is the time where we really need to squeeze every penny and get much more business orientated, that's the only way the club will progress.
It's frustrating of course, but why get all stressed out about it? You can't alter anything so just wait until its sorted then order what you want. They do deliver so I'm not really bothered about my order it will get here when it does. As for the new sponsor it makes no difference IMO as it doesn't effect them as the season hasn't he even started. People not receiving an order is not going to alter the marketing on or off the pitch.
I dont understand how you can blame the club. They make arrangements with Adidas for a delivery date. That date then allows them to set a launch date. Now if Adidas does not fulfil their end of the deal, then how in the hell can you blame the club? As I mentioned before you clearly have not had to deal with the public side of things whilst also relying on suppliers getting their end sorted too. I have, its not all rosey as you seem to make out it should have been, **** happens, that is out of the clubs hands. When working on customers cars, they ask for a date when the car will be ready, you can only base a response on how quick the supplier can provide the part. Now if the supplier promises it will be there within 24 hours, you can tell the customer it will be ready withing 48 hours. That way you get a 24 hour window in case **** happens, however if the supplier really ballsed **** up, then how would that be my fault? I can only plan with plans that are in place, if a plan doesn't come to fruition, then other plans go out the window, you dont put stuff on hold in case, as you get nowhere working like that. If they were waiting for stuff to arrive, before announcing the launch date, then we would still be bloody waiting for the kit. As the launch was based over, what 7 days. So you would still be waiting, and if that were the case, then you may have a case that the club were amateurish in this instance. But to me, you have a gripe with the club over past dealings, which may be rightly justified, but your using that to castrate them in an instance that is out of their hands. If the supplier does not supply, the club cannot sell.
With most of our equipment well sell comes from our own factories in Barcelona I know what it's like when we get let down. We get told by factories that these goods a lorry will be with us in 4 weeks so we add on and extra week and even then the get the bloody thing wrong. Suppliers
Im at a loss as to think why posters think im "stressed" or have a problem because of "past dealings" that is a bit pathetic if im being honest. The problem is that you cant run a proper business in an amateur way! You keep saying its not the clubs problem but it is, and always is ! we will go around in circles all night on this one but here are the facts. 1. The club announces its new kit but doesn't have any home shirts to sell. 2. The grand opening of the new club shop in Cwn-du is greated with ques of people ...with nothing to buy. 3. There is no training kit to buy in the new store either, negating the issue with home shirts if stocked and ready for a big splash. 4. Why bother running an advertising campaign knowing there isn't anything to sell anyway? Adidas get the blame but its been the club poor for years and doesn't look like improving, if there was a problem with kit then why not put it out on the net sooner? why not put your fans in the picture? why are there now rumours circulating that 15,000 shirts were sent back because there was a fault? if that was the case then why not say so ? all this has done is piss the fans off once again! Far too many people seem happy to accept the club "is trying its best" when in fact it isn't. In my experience you leave nothing to chance, if there is going to be a possible hold up just delay it and announce it, what the club did here was leave it to the last minute and gamble that everything would turn out ok, bad move, they should be up fronjt and honest and be more professional in their approach to business and potential business. We are losing thousands of pounds by being **** in commercial practices but at the same time the club moan they don't have a pot to piss in compared to other Prem clubs, they cant have it all ways can they ?? But its ok because we can blame Adidas for everything cant we ,even when Umbro were supplying our kit ! ...
When a supplier makes promises, then doesn't keep them, then that is hardly the clubs fault, what has happened in the past has nothing to do with this situation, so yes, I am happy to continue believing its to do with personal past dealings that has you spouting this stuff in the manner Dai spouts rubbish. As no-one who has been in the position the club is in, would criticise them for it. Adidas are not going to come out and take the blame, if it wasn't their fault. What about that is so hard for you to take in? As has been mentioned, you clearly have never been in this position, where you rely on a supplier to keep up their end of the bargain, so continue with your opinion on it, but those who have been in that position, know how far off the mark you really are with your opinion. And all your points there are based on the assumption the club knew the kits wouldn't be here on time, prior to all the planning of the launch. Do you really think the launch was chucked together in 24 hours, or planned. The way you talk is that they should have waited for the stock to arrive before planning for the launch, welcome to the real world Norway, life in the business world doesn't work like that. To make it clear for you, so you can keep up. The launch was planned around the promised delivery date by Adidas. If Adidas had kept to their word, then the launch would have gone without a hitch, however that didn't happen, hence the statement made by adidas accepting responsibility. If it was not their fault, they wouldn't make a statement, my god your blinkered.
Love how you compare fixing a car in a Garage to how a multi million pound football business should operate... Yeah, **** happens in a garage mate but when your part of the most watched league in the world ,turning over £60m + and you cant even buy a ****ing tee shirt on launch day at the new club shop , then the term "**** happens" morphs into " incompetent small time idiots"
Are you really that naive, no matter the size of the business, its all reliant on the supplier keeping up their end of the bargain, doesn't matter if your Microsoft, or A small car repair shop, if a supplier is late with their delivery, you suffer. Just because your a multi million pound company, doesnt make you any less reliant on a supplier.
Yeah mate ,welcome to the real world is it ?... You seriously have no clue about anything mate, ever heard of the term "management" ?? Sorry to burst your bublle mate but I know all about supply and its big brother "demand", as having to supply the likes of Stat Oil,Shell,BP,Sub Sea Seven,Ocean INstaller,Add energy with our engineering services at a moments notice makes changing an air filter on a car or getting boxes of tee-shirts at a shop on time a little bit small time, especially when the Gas that heats your garage is in such critical demand and moments from running out ... Don't try and teach your grandmother to suck eggs mate
Think we are going offthe point now though . Lets agree to disagree before it gets stupid, you know im right on this one and the club have form for being incompetent, Addidas ****ed up and so did the club lets not go away from those points .
You may claim to know all about it, but by the way your talking, you were not directly involved with any of it. And haven't you ever been told, the older generation tend to think they are right, but its not always the case. So sometimes grandmother doesn't suck eggs properly, and needs to be given a helping hand.
Im not arguing with that With any business you factor in risk, especially with the last 2 seasons Adidas experiences, did that happen ? no . They stuck their heads in the sand and played it down to the wire hoping stuff would magically turn up , treating the fans like mugs, if that is fine by you that's great, but I find the whole saga quite distasteful and amateur .
