"And Hill will also be responsible for signings. He takes over from chief scout Neale McDermott who was sacked after revealing his target list to Donald and his staff." I'd love to see that target list. Must have been bloody awful haha
That's bollocks report in the Sun. Donald tweeted that Hill will have nothing to do with the football side of things
Hes a Mag. It's Terry McDermotts son so he probably tried to ruin us. Guaranteed Shola Ambeobi will have been on it!
Same story with another K, Kaboul, both made a huge impact when they played, how lucky we were to get as many games out of them as we did.
A new era indeed. After years of turning up on mass and being treated appallingly by the owner of your club, now is the time to start enjoying football once again. Seemed like the end of the world for us in 2009, but I have to say, the L1 adventure was brilliant. Met loads of real fans at grounds I'd never been to. Saw the academy kids grow, and the club start to understand its own history. You lot will be more than fine.
He's like Bambi on ice. I'm sure both brothers turn in to World beaters against us and resume to normal business after they've played us.
Truth is I only saw him in one televised game, and he was awesome, wasn't against us, but I know what you mean.
He does have moments of magic to be fair mate, he's just one of them players that play one good game followed by about 5 very average games.
Interview with CM. Another good read, and already having a dig at Mike Ashley. . https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/2018/05/26/Pizzas-Pints-with-Charlie-Methven
He's off to a good start "for some reason I’ve always had an antipathy towards Newcastle. I mean that wasn’t a determining factor in this, but it does mean I’ve always had a slight soft spot for Sunderland because I’ve always found Newcastle to be a rather arrogant club." "They seem to think that they’re special, and they don’t understand that every club is special. From an outsider’s perspective I feel that from the North East clubs, at Sunderland and Middlesbrough there’s much mutual appreciation from other clubs, but at Newcastle there’s little appreciation for or from other clubs."
Great read and very reassuring that we now have guys running the club who are genuine football people. They are certainly leaving no stone unturned and do not suffer fools gladly.
