The choices are grim mate. I wouldnt put the the tories back in. Reform makes me feel sick. I voted Libs but under the current system I might as well have not bothered.

My problem with Labour is I believe they had a manifesto that was completely unaffordable and undeliverable. I think they knew it too. Independant economists called it out. Either they arent the brightest bunch, or they knew they were spinning a yarn. Then they come in and make a complete balls of the first 6 months. They had green shoots in the economy when taking office, but have all but eradicated them. Their constant talking down of the economic chances gave the city and business a cold, their really naieve budget has put a massibe wet blanket over the country at large. I wouldnt be surprised at all if we need a spring budget, mini or emergency, before the NI stuff lands. I just dont think they are particularly competent mate.

They havent even got the moral high ground anymore. Keirs glasses, suits, accomodation etc, plus the other Labour MPs caught taking so called gifts. It may not be on a scale of tory squalor, but it casts them in a light they promised us we wouldnt see. It is all just embarassing idiocy from all parties frankly. Until we find a way to have competent folk in top seats we will bounce from Labour to Tory ever few years and get the same results from both. My view anyway.

Agree with this. I think they're both cut from the same cloth, but my own opinion is that I’d rather have the ones who aren’t totally irresponsible financially in charge. Taking into account the challenges of Brexit and COVID the country was actually doing well in comparison to the likes of Germany, Italy, Spain etc. People bring up contracts being handed to mates, insider information etc which is a totally valid point and wrong on all accounts but they’re all at it. Labour MP’s have been documented in the last few weeks taking “donations” from private healthcare companies whilst handing £2.2bn in contracts from the NHS to private.

The challenges this country have are far from an easy fix and won’t be solved quickly but I’d rather whilst they try and deal with those things I don’t have to worry about being financially worse off and what seem like imminent tax increases.

Don’t get me started on the NHS, the biggest money pit in the world.

Yet more and more money gets poured in, whilst the waiting lists go up & up.

Dictors & Suregeons are working part time in the NHS, topping up their public sector pensions, whilst moonlighting in the private sector for those who have got a bit of savings.

The whole system stinks, and there should be an independent Public Review. The tax payer is being ripped off.

Walking around Asda the other day and this couple doing their shopping were not english but eastern european. They were talking but very loudly so everyone could hear. You hear and see more and more foreign people whilst walknig around Newcastle. I just look at this and they are all being tucked up by the government. Walk around South Shields and the amount of Muslim people you see with large families the man not working is unbelievable. Its about time this country starts to look after its own. I know alot of people wont agree with what im saying but many will. What im trying to say is look around and you can see where the money is going.

Maybe Andy Prendergast should do a bit of real world research and find out who actually pays a football manager's salary

I mean he's not wrong, the bloke is possibly as big a danger to the world as Putin...however he probably shouldn't have been appointed our ambassador to the US.
Think he's probably the best person we could send :emoticon-0148-yes:
