Bristol Rovers have signed left-sided utility man Jim Paterson on a short-term deal until the end of the season. The 32-year-old ended 2011 playing Europa League football with Shamrock Rovers. plymouth fans say paterson is a quality player and mcghee knows enough about him to trust him to do a job.

not sure where this leaves the left side looking. sawyer, brown, paterson and carayol all fighting for a spot at left back and left wing.
 
as for swallow leaving, just 2 lines only about him leaving on the OS. not even a thank you for you services or anything like that. me thinks he done something wrong!
 
Looks like a little git to be honest. Seemed to have great potential at one point, only to prove otherwise. Wonder where he will end up
