After a result like that against a team of that stature, Southgate’s position is untenable for me.
I can’t see him being removed this close to the WC, he’ll be judged on how we get on then, and tbf this was never meant to be anything other than a warm up, that said they were shocking.

I never really understood why he was given the job in the first place as his CV is not up to snuff for international football. We have available to us a buffet of world class players who end up looking like they aren't interested in wearing their national shirt and should be ashamed at their performances during this Nations League fiasco. England need a manager in the Guardiola or Klopp mould before we can expect any long term improvement in England's performances and Southgate looks hopelessly out of his depth and is now clutching at impossible and unbelievable straws to solve the clearly evident problems. Time is running out to right the ship in time for the World Cup and I suspect their are many hurt egos in the camp that may not heal in time also. Sadly I think the days of full commitment to the task have long since disappeared down the drainpipe never to be seen again as long as money and luxuries are the only drivers of these so called superstars.
