Market drifts are just that though , market is wrong in vast majority of races with less than one in three favs winning . Stick to your methods mate, sure take note of changing factors but don't be dogmatic about it !!! After saying that ,I've not had chance to study those races so won't offer my tuppence worth !!
I don’t mind normally but with horses who are possibly not fit and or regressive it is more important in my opinion
Cashel is a CD winner at 1m whilst the going was standard to slow, coming out of the 3 box so not a bad draw in the 4.00 Quick breath catches the eye and with the apprentice taking of 7 could go well 4.30 Busby was entered at Goodwood on Stewards day but was a non runner, a few shackles have come in so I'll join the money talk and another CD winner over 6. Patent will do in the hope they place at least.
So four bets today, +12.5 -10 -10 -10 Day loss of 17.5 so down to +£1.5 A few days of dipping. Annoying but keeping stakes correct. Annoyed that I waded into the last two given the way the markets were (and 7 runners in the penultimate) but that is one of the issues with being a punter.
Three shorties tonight in the last four races 7:15 Mawakib @15/8 8:15 Zuba @ 13/8 8:45 Stormbomber 15/8 All £10 win singles Hope to have time later to put rationale up but all pretty obvious to be fair.
I've put the mockers on your thread Nass. Apologies. I'm sure it will be only temporary, provided you stay disciplined. There is a slight hint that the discipline has slipped a bit, judging by the quantity of selections. Hope you don't mind me saying so
Far be it for me to offer advice on UK racing Nass, but maybe I can offer advice on another front. Being a long time poker player, I've learned that having a well thought out plan is essential if we're to have any chance of survival in the long run. Each hand, or week's return means nothing compared to what happens over a year. Of course you already know this .... you started out with one. Once you have a strategy, it's very important to stick to it, don't be led off by the excitement of the activity. It can get bloody boring sticking to a well designed plan, but it offers a better chance of winning. I don't know if you're close to throwing in the towel or not, but if so, please give it another month, but be strong and avoid temptation. All the best with what you're doing, you might not get too many comments, but I'm sure there are heaps of us following the thread.
The one I sent you the slip for as proof? If you want good advice...dont put your tips on here....seems to kill every good run I have.
Thanks gents, the input into the thread is really useful and as both Cyc and Ron stated its a case of being disciplined and that has been more of the aim with the thread. Two more days to see if the thread can end in profit, currently down -£18.50. Tomorrow there is only one horse I like, and a write up will follow later
The interesting thing for me at Chelmsford tonight is that £30k Claimer (7.45). Amazingly it features a former 2,000 Guineas runner-up and another one rated 101 and owned by Her Majesty, God bless her and save her. I would imagine that quite a few ‘claims’ will be submitted re that field later on. Corking contest.
It’s a claiming handicap old boy and i don’t think any are claiming additional weight so none will be going for “claims”. This is the race the bet is in...
