You have your feelings and others have theirs. Neither are wrong. Neither are right. For me, Lallana made it personal because he gave such a personal attachment to the club just weeks before deciding he didn't mean it. I choose my right to dislike him for that.

In response to part two of your post, that would make you more of a Lallana to me being a Le Tissier :) I wouldn't have made that move. See - a difference in emotions between two people.

Am I the only one who remembers Clyne, in one of his first interviews after leaving us, talk about how he "bumped into" Lallana, in America and how he was told, by Lallana, what a wonderful place Liverpool FC was, and how it would be a good place to forward his career?

Maybe I misinterpreted the interview, but that's how I remember it, which gives me another reason for disliking Lallana.

Or put another way 'was tapped up by Lallana! Time for an FA suspension - can I suggest we wait until the fixture list is produced for next season and recommend when the hearing is.

Taken from Clyne's first official Liverpool interview, with their tv station.

You were away in America during the break and we believe you saw a little bit of Adam Lallana while you were over there. Did you ask him about Liverpool?

We spoke a lot. He said he wanted me to sign and I said if the deal moves along and gets done, I'd be with him as a teammate once again. We enjoyed our time over there in America - it was brilliant.

What was Adam saying about Liverpool?

He said it's a good club - a big club with a huge fan base. He said the team is good and a good bunch of lads. He told me I'd be made to feel welcome if I joined.

I actually wish Lallana had come back last night, even to do a Puncheon. He'd have been booed of course but I reckon it would have gone a long way in building bridges. He may not have been able of course so I'm not going to make any further judgements about him.

I don't think he had a chance with the game tonight. If they hadn't got through I am sure he's have been at St Mary's... and you'd probably be correct. It would have been the ideal panto villain stuff and a chance to bury everything*

*assuming the club put him in stocks outside the Northam just before kick off :)

But oddly still calling him Twatbeard. :)

Note aside: on my phone at the moment, and at the point I came to type Lallana's nickname, the splendid Samsung text suggestion system came up with Twatbeard. What more can I say. ;)

Clyne was reasonably up front from the start that we were a stepping stone and apart from him I think we've replaced every player who left for Liverpool with someone better so I'm not too concerned about them any more.

I assume those of you condemning Lallana for telling his former team mate to sign for his current club also condemn Jose Fonte for trying the same thing with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? <whistle>

No, Alex has so much potential, yet his career is stalling at Arsenal, blighted by injuries & doesn't seem to have his managers confidence, he is at a cross roads.
Now, is that your comparison, because its rather poor. Jose is looking out for the kid, not trying to lube up his back account & gain another friend in a soulless money driven part of the world.Very different in my opinion.

It's not meant to be exactly the same but both tried to convince players from other clubs to join their current club, which is technically "tapping up". Of course Fonte will say he's just looking out for Ox, and I'm sure Lallana would say he was looking out for Clyne, whose career was also at a crossroads - just about past the "young, promising player" stage and into the established pro stage, trying to nail down a starting role for England, his next contract may well decide where he plays in his peak footballing years and define his career, he has a short career and has a responsibility to secure his and his family's future etc etc

Right and with all 3 in the starting 11 tonight in the Europa League final we might not be so smug in a few hours.

The short career argument went out the window the day they started paying footballers more than £20k a week. I think a million pounds for a years work should set anyone up and secure their future!
