    I would assume so. Maybe Pennock's move was just down to saving money until things were sorted. I was thinking that Pennock may have got the managers job before all this Silva talk.

    Sounds like Pennock can go back to the U23s or leave the club.

    If Pennock was to leave it would be a blow he's done a good job with the U-23's , would not be surprised if SB isn't watching what happens with him at city and makes move for him .

    Apparently, Pennock will be the link between the old guard and the new and will be advising Silva while he settles in.

    I'm going to have to stop nipping away for a few days abroad. Last time I left the UK Bruce walked and this time Phelan sacked.
    Fingers crossed by time I get back the take over complete and new manager in place. Onwards and upwards UTT

    He's completely changed the youth set-up, it used to be nothing more than a bunch of lads in a field, now it's a proper Cat 2 academy, with decent facilities and some decent players.

    He moved the academy to Bishop Burton, the entire youth set-up in its current form is down to him (and sadly, he's now left).
