Afternoon all.

I'm off tomorrow as travelling to Saturday's Fighting Fifth in Newcastle.
Will be punting tomorrow and obviously at Newcastle on Saturday with plenty of off-course action from Newbury.

Does anybody have any real fancies ?

Tomorrow I have 4 -
* Newbury 13:00 - Ranjaan (Nicholls trained and a big run is expected).
* Newbury 15:15 - Aigle D'Or (loves Newbury, won this race last year and at his very best when fresh and he makes seasonal debut tomorrow).
* Newbury 15:50 Mono Man (Henderson think's he could be one of his very best novice hurdles so he'll do for me).
* 13:25 Donny - Eradicate (trip, flat track and had a run, he will win).

As for Saturday .......
Think the Hennessey is between 1833 and Great Endeavour.
I like Binocuar for the Fighting Fifth but skinny odds as beaten odds on in this race last 2 years, I think Overturn will have my money.

Any more fancies ?
 
Looks a very open race the 1.00 at Newbury. Dark and Dangerous won nicely on his seasonal debut the form hasn't really worked out as no-one else in the race as won since but clearly in this field he will be the one to beat as alot are making seasonal debut's. Ranjaan as some respectable form on the flat and it goes without saying that Nicholls is firing on all cylinders probably the pick of the rest.

Im looking forward to Bob's Worth making his chase debut, Recieving 7lb's from Cue Card in a field of four, He should win but will start odds against so one to watch for Me.

I quite like Caddie Master tomorrow in the 2.45 at Newbury. Just held on his last start giving weight to the winner and starting with less weight on his back tomorrow nice break since his last start and AP on board. 6/1 at the moment looks to have a decent chance...
 
Binocular should win, Celestial Halo and Overturn could cut eachother's throat and set it up for him. NH said hes in good form but I remember his last seasonal re-appearance here where he weakened coming to the last may need the run. Overturn E/W for Me. Hennessy looks wide open, PN obviously fancies his chances with 1833 but he's giving weight to some good horses. Wymott is in well with the weights it just depends if he as got over his injury suffered at Cheltenham, Of the rest Wayward Prince is interesting...
 
I know Ranjaan is pretty well thought of from Nicholls' open day.


Any links to where Henderson talks about Mono Man? Sounds very interesting if he is rated that highly.

MONO MAN is one of the best-regarded novices in the stable and has worked and schooled nicely ahead of his possible debut over hurdles at Newbury
 
A lot of tight races tomorrow Wuby, the only thing really catching my eye for a bit of value is Phillip Hobbs' Colour Squadron in the lucky last at Newbury. He won his bumper in very, very taking style, travelling strongly throughout and pulling away readily in the last couple of furlongs from previous winner Eleven Fifty Nine. He is by Old Vic out of a decently related mare (Rhinestone Cowboy and Go Native in her extended family) and the presence of the Henderson and JP McManus horses mean we will hopefully get a decent price <ok>

I'm eagerly awaiting the debut of Italian Master from the Nicholls yard. He looked a real powerhouse and I think possibly only a 3 year old at that time! According to Nicholls he is being aimed at 2m4 +
 
In the Hennessey I'll be having an E/W dabble on Blazing Bailey - goes well fresh, will love the trip and ground and is still a good few pounds below his highest hurdles rating. Alan King is in good form as well <ok>
