That would be Taff/Hull then, the Humber's the Estuary and the term 'Humberside' is very unpopular for lots of not all that interesting reasons.
I stand corrected Poochy. Hope neither of us is tempted to jump into them come May. BTW, our estuary is called the Bristol Channel. Unfortunately, we are downsteam of the Wurzels - and you wouldn't believe the crap that come out of them. 'Ang on a minute - playoff final 2007/8????.....................
We haven't though. We've been surprised more than one appeared at the same time with no obvious reason, but I can't see anyone who complained about it or was actually telling them to naff off. The surprise just seems to have been misinterpreted.
You won't like this, but the Bristol City fans were spot on at Wembley. There's a long way to go and you lot are further down the line than we are, but the fans of two clubs in Cities stuck out on a limb getting together for a piss up in May could end up being the stuff of Legend.
The Wurzels are not a bad bunch at all - just local rivalry surfacing again on a forum. Although everyone seems to talk of the Cardiff/Swansea thing, Bristol City (not Rovers) are our historic cross-channel adversaries both on the pitch and particularly as fans. When they came up from League One to join us in the Championship it re-ignited the inter-club thing. Friendly (and not so friendly) banter broke out on the old Beeb 606 and we had great times abusing them instead of sheep.
Opinion seems to be divided on this one. I reckon the dynamic has shifted since before Xmas and I do expect Cardiff to be promoted this time round. Which means only one auto place left between a clutch of teams not too far apart in ability. A full transfer window for teams to get their ducks in a row and then a lot of football to be played. If Cardiff carry on as they have been doing the promotion party will have been and gone by the time they come here for the last match. If we could catch Cardiff up and snatch the Championship off them at the death that would be nice, but staying above the others is the thing to do. If Cardiff run away with it, then so be it.
