Gasland
hi gasheads

some doom and gloom on the board recently due to a few bad results. well remember we are a new team having signed 15/16 players, manager, backroom staff and new tactics/formations. we need to remember, rome wasnt built in a day.
now on paper we have a very good strong squad which are capable of winning promotion which even the bookies agree with as they have us 2nd favourites for promotion.

we all agreed during the summer that we need to be patient for the 1st 5-8 games as these players will still be finding their feet at the club and gelling together under new tactics. so if we knew this, why all the doom and gloom?? we need to give the players time and a chance to settle. no team who gets promoted will get promoted by winning every game.

now just a little perspective...

6 games gone in the league.
won 2
drew 2
lost 2
thats not bad considering the challenges we knew we were going to face having a brand new squad.

3 cup games played, all vs higher division opposition.
won 1
lost 2
no harm in losing to higher division opposition.

so whats the problem then? why so doom and gloom? 40 games to go and we can only improve as the team gels more and more. yes we need another cb, but lets trust in buckle to get this and to give him a chance. its only been 6 league games! he has brought in what we need bringing in 15/16 players. we only really need 1 more player.

come on, think about it. ignore the wums who thinks its already over after just 6 games! only 5 points from top place with 120 points left available for grabs.

lets chill and get behind the team <party>

absolutely right captain sparrow, about time some sense was talked about the gas. both shrews and gas were not interested in the paint cup result. town had a very quiet start to the season, but we have rocketed to 5th place after 3 wins on the trot. your much enlarged squad need to bond and buckles main task is to lift morale and confidence enabling the team to do the rest. it may be 3 or 4 games before the gas explode back on to the scene, and i for one hope it is not next tuesday. i like banter between clubs when both are in a similar position, otherwise it is too easy and meaningless. so come on gas show us what you can do.

any trace of banter should be reported to the bar staff
