I'm almost certain of it.

Why else would you continue to show yourself up on a daily basis?

Really ? At the moment I am in the back garden watching my daughter playing , which is great :) and as my job gives me time, I have a lot of freedom as I await clients to arrive when I am on my travels , it allows me time between meetings to browse the net and to make money and my commitments ;)

But then as my time is my own business it's got sod all to do with you ;)

I remember when they started out as SIX TON BUDGIE a few old mates were in the line up, and we still keep in touch, a couple of keen Bluebirds amongst them as well

i asked this question on 606 a long time back, now i went to see Peter Green and the splinter group in swansea approx 96/97 and there was a band supporting them called the Hendersons they were a cardiff band , i got talking to one of the roadies it was a small venue Penyrheol leisure centre and he told me that they have been around since the early seventies have done support for bands coming to Wales, but were a very popular band around the live cardiff music scene which they had been a part of for many years.

Now i have been trying to find some of their stuff but alas have failed thus far, are you familiar with this band they are or were a trio a blues/rock outfit, as you were around the music scene up there i would be grateful for any info, they were a really good live band based on what i saw that night. i have looked around the net etc but can not find anything, do you know if they have any recordings out

Cheers

Might you be thinking of the Hennesseys? More of a folk band built around Frank Hennessey, singing about Welsh topics, often in Welsh. Look him up on Wikie for more info.

I know who you mean, no these were the Hendersons a sort of Niel Young type outfit, i have been looking out for them since i saw them with peter green , i am amazed nobody seems to have heard of them, a really good band my search continues

<laugh>

The Hendersons were a Cardiff band that were knocking around in the late 70's and into the 80's suprised that they were still going on in 96 , they started off originally with "Slogger" Sloman who went on to bigger things with Uriah Heep, a band with interchangeable members, turn up in the Moon or Smiley's with a rep and you would get on stage, most of the members of Lone Star, have had their time on stage with The Henderson's along with people like Pino Palladino, ex Gary Numan and now with The Who............Cardiff fan who used to post on 606 occasionally, Mickey Gee also turned out for them, their mainstay was a bass player known as "Griffo" Paul Griffiths an old mate, I believe our very own Clingo sat in on drums with them on occasion, although their most regular drummer was a guy called Muggsy............if you ever went out in Cardiff and The Hendersons were on......well you never knew what you were getting, anything from 3 to 8 band members, and depending on who was onstage, well that would dictate the quality and type of music you got served up, anything from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young to the Beach Boys, but mostly bluesy stuff mixed with prog rock <ok>
