    Mick,

Have you given Muri directions so he doesn't press the bid red button this time?

Venom its your perogative to stay away from the Football boards.

But there are those who want to be able to chat about Celtic stuff without stupid comments from others. We will attract far more members based on the Celtic/Rangers boards then we will on the GD board.

This should be the only site you need to go on. ATM people are using this for a laugh & other sites to discuss football. Why not stick it all under this site but split them so you can be serious one place & have banter on another?

When we had the team boards previously there was no bother with idiots & the boards were quite busy.

Mick should get one of those contraptions et up so that every time Muir goes to press the button he gets a shock. Didn't they do something similar in Clockwork Oraange.

Actually the more I think about it I think it might not be a good idea as Muir could go on a rape and pillage spree. This power is a dangerous thing.

    1. Who the **** are you?

    2. What I mean by being verified isnt a mod altering them to suit what they think is better its just to make sure someone hasnt as Brum said written "****" and submitted it. There would be a team of trusted contributers that anyone could join and their articles would get exposure from this site. If they write a load of bollocks then that'll be up for discussion by the rest of the board.

Venom, I totally understand what you're saying. On follow follow I spend most my time in the lounge as the Bear Pit has far too many fannies in it totally raging at every opportunity. You also dont get a balanced football debate, something I missed with the demise of SPN. I'd like to see that happen on here, but like you I also want the off topic board to be as much a laugh as possible. I dont want to be trawling through boards looking for a subject that interests me and its worth noting a seperate board for each team minimises the impact of a clever wind up, something we should also be careful not to wipe out.

I can deal with a seperate board for Rangers and Celtic along with a General Football board where everything can go if thats what the consensus is. The names did alert me and although it seems petty it will have a big impression on people signing up.

ps I like the "bawbag" part next to my name, nice touch :)

I reckon its a chance worth taking, he could pick up some helpful tips from some of the users on here, also no doubt a number of people will require pictures of said rape and pillage spree.

    Frank,

    1) I'm a figment of your imagination. Why the **** to you care who I am,l all I did was post a ****ing reply.

    2) The problem with that type of moderation is that some people are offended by words like **** whilst others couldn't give a ****e. I though the purpose of the site was for it to be unregulated so that people can make up their own minds without the site reverting back to the cosy situation that caused all the problems in the fist place

Venom, i think our midget friend Brum is right.

Over the last year we've attracted all the members we're going to get on the selling point of "say what you want, anything goes, no mods" etc. People like us liked this idea cos we were fed up with 606 not allowing ANY off-topic / slightly offensive stuff.

So if we want new members now, say from 606, we need a new selling point - for example, somewhere they can talk about their own team without silly wee fannies from the other side turning it into who's da is the better fighter! I think thats now overtaken the Mods as the most annoying thing about 606 <ok>

    Thoughts?

    3 boards.

    General
    Celtic
    Rangers

A notice when you come on to the forum advising new boards to be created once their is demand. 10 Hearts fans turn up we'll get them a Hearts board.

You seemed to know a lot about SPN so I thought you were one of the regulars, and I care cos I'm a nosey bastard.

I dont think any words should be banned, none at all. If people are offended by a single word on a forum then they have problems. The off topic board is perfectly fine, you wont survive if you're a soft bastard but thats what makes it good, it pretty much regulates itself and suits the posters.
The football boards however require care and moderation, as TN8 said we need to be offering an alternative to the 606 repetitions of "you're skint so ye ur!" or "aye but youse wrecked Manchester" or "BJK, 52-42" our football boards need to be intelligent and attractive with some humour in there as well.

    Frank,

I have registered for ages, but due to time difference I got involved **** all with the discussions, bit have resd most of the big stories over the past year so I have a fair idea of the goings on for the past while.

I agree with you that the football boards needs to be actually about decent football stories because the my da's bigger than your da that happens on 606 is pure painful.

Mr G & Frank are both right - if we want the football boards to be about intellegent decent chat without all the 606 ****e, then the first step needs to be get rid of the Taigs and Huns patter - what were you thinking Mick! <laugh>
