Pratley was offered a deal in August last year, he wasn't offered one sooner because Sousa was being pushed out.

De Vries was approached about a deal last summer as well and actually requested to wait.

Britton WILL get games, his size will count against him yes but his game isn't exactly built on standing up physically is it, much more about being able to get a good tackle in and pass the ball well.

Jazz can cover most areas pretty well but I would be worried with him being second choice at either full-back slot. I'd almost prefer to see him allowed out on loan to get some game time in the Championship.

Looks like my "PS" on Orlandi was prophetic. I'd like to claim insider knowledge but I can't.

I just felt that Orlandi has the technical skill to play at a higher level due to his association at Barca - fleeting, I know but they don't allow any player within a country mile of that club unless he has a lot of talent.

No disgrace that he didn't make it there but I have a gut feeling that he will be a solid squad player for us in the Premiership. He will never be a ball winner but he always puts in a shift, spots a great pass and has the skill levels needed for that league.

He must be looking good in training to impress Buck and earn a contract extension; and he just might surprise a few people this season.

I agree Ivor. You seem to be the most sensible poster on here.

i don't want to sound Sousa like but isn't it now the time to tighten the defence and midfield and let graham et al do their jobs up front

It's not an either/or situation. We need a defensive signing or two, a midfielder would be nice as well and of course the keeper but I wouldn't bet on any of our current strikers being able to back Graham up so if one is available for the right price then alls good.

Don't people think that we need an extra winger. At the moment the only 2 we have capable of playing higher are Dyer and Sinclair. if one of those gets injured we are in trouble absolutely no cover.

Luke Moore can do a job out there, certainly on the right. Orlandi has played on the left, albeit he doesn't have the same pace. Would be nice to have a better option but not priority.

would rather see Beattie and Moore sold to help invest in either a CB or another striker
