Wonders never cease. A fan of the RS calling someone else thick <laugh> The RS fans are famous all over the world for their delusion and low IQ.

Next season they'll be back to their normal and true position. They won't get into a CL place after being humiliated in the group stages...

    Question.

    Is it 1990?

    'nother question.

Has football stayed exactly the sane since 1990? (assuming that its not 1990 of course)

    One more question?

Are man utd liverpool and will we do exactly what they did?

Why are some unable to comprehend the difference?

It matters not what year it is UIR, the same dynamics apply, correct man in charge, correct training methods and tactics, correct signings to suit the system etc.

LVG has a great success record and will more than likely bring success to Utd but continuous success, you think that's guaranteed?

Liverpool were fortunate in their period of domination coincided with:

European club football at its weakest in history with Serie A and La Liga at its lowest ebbs
English football at its weakest: with Southampton, Watford and Swansea all mounting title challenges

Havent you and every other liverpool fan spent the last 20 years moaning about how corrupt football is because you have won **** all in that time?

Sounds like its liverpool fans who, 20 years in still cant cope with any other scenario.

Anyway, its far more likely a football institute like united, will bounce back very quickly from our blip season. Its far more likely we will pull a bayern than a liverpool because liverpools biggest issues werent on the pitch but off it.

United left liverpool and everyone else behind and to this day they are all playing catch up.

    LOL.

My point being that it was easier for Liverpool To dominate Because standards were lower.

And because standards were lower they did not have to build as great a club as fergie did to dominate

Fergie built a club that Battled arsenal, Chelsea and City.

Liverpool had a brief challenge from Clough one season and then Everton.

Ipswich and United flattered to deceive. Villa were one season wonders.

Watford and Soton were their main challengers some seasons FFS! As soon as Liverpool were challenged in Europe by a great side, Juve, they lost.
It was lucky they were banned as Ac Milan would have destroyed their 87/8 side.
Gullit and Rikjaard v Houghton and McMahon. Maldini v Barnes. Baresi v Aldridge.
    Van basten v Gary ablett
And as soon as United built a good side, Liverpool could not keep up

Liverpool played Bruges, United played Barca.

United have a higher perch to fall from than Liverpool did

Yeah, just because Chelsea never had money and couldn't compete back then.<laugh>

LFC were successful in the 60's, 70's and 80's, so your comment doesn't hold water.

Not in Europe. You could not get to grips with European football until after Chelsea City Newcastle Leeds Celtic arsenal spurs United had all won trophies.

First European trophy 73. And you did not start English domination until 75.6

We reached the semi final of the European Cup in 1964.
We reached the final of the CWC in 1966

We were promoted from division two in 1962.

You are talking ****e if you think from when we got promoted to winning trophies in every decade since has been because domestic and European football was weak.<laugh>

Agree, especially with small clubs like Chelsea challenging for major honours.

    Comparing Bayern's situation with Utd's <laugh>

Look at the leagues and teams within both. Bayern's root back to success was straight forward, in a **** league.

To be honest UIR the OP is laughable.
