One thing that I would like to see is close family members of cabinet to go out and

You can't just buy your way out of a Combat Zone. You can apply to buy your way out of the Army, it's called a PVR, but that request can be rejected, i've seen it happen. As for people acting like "Dicks" to get out, well i've known plenty of dicks (ooer missus) in the Army but none of them got booted out. I did know one guy who went Tonto and shot one of my mates in NI, he did not get kicked out for being a dick either, he got several years in military correctional facility, not exactly an easy option I can assure you.

Besides, the sort of people who join the Army (in general terms) are not the sort of people who would stoop to trying to find a way to get out of a War, being in a war is probably the reason they joined.

I wanted to go to the Falklands and fight. Not to kill anyone, I simply wanted to know how I would react in combat, would my training kick in or would I turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble?

The way I would explain it is to ask that if you trained for a Trade, say a joiner for example, imagine you were told that you could not actually work on real wood.

 

Once all our troops are back from the crusades we should send them back to Ulster to let of a bit of steam.
