A good start to the season ?

I like the O/T threads, we need them to break up the monotony of threads dedicated to formations and team selections.

It can get incredibly boring and repetitive sometimes.

I consider the O/Ts to be an outlet to having to think 100% about Hull City. The doom and gloom of it one day, and then rabid enthusiasm the next. At the end of the day, all we can do is watch.

The more I think about possible team selections, tactics and formations, the more I end up thinking about Alex Bruce starting and being sick all day. This is something I wish to avoid. It's nauseating, literally.

What I'm saying, is that the O/T threads are normally a nice distraction which are normally amusing, and they allow one to get to know other posters a bit better.

Usually the O/T stuff is fine on here but was finding it a bit out of balance with hardly any City news on the board.I just don't understand Little Bruces vomit syndrome, it must be some kind of syndrome too because it's not normal.

I noticed a lot of random threads on the board this weekend about things like Elvis's ****ty pants, the best website for old farts to moan and talk **** on, and the meaning of life itself. To get back on track with the football I was thinking that I have been pleasantly surprised by our start to the season, being sceptical about Bruces appointment originally. The signings of Quinn, Aluko and Elmo look like they could reap dividends for us. Little Bruce is also proving a steady performer despite worries that he was maybe a bit ****. Simpson looks like the player that banged in goals for QPR and was rated very highly at the Gunners. Proschwitz is the only real disappointment for me given the money spent, but there is time for him to learn what football over here is about given the form of our strikers with the shirt. It's good to be proven wrong with your expectations and although it's early days yet, and I'm not that impressed with Stan Ternent being appointed to the club in any capacity, things are looking up for me. UTT!

Very well said Sir. Stan Ternent was a bit before my time so I can't comment on how good/bad he was as I wasn't even born to see it! But the rest of of your post sums up things perfectly; especially the Simpson part. I really hope the lad can continue this form because something I've been saying since the start of the year is we need a SQUAD that are good enough to win the league not just the first 11; and having Simpson, Fryatt, McLean, Proschwitz when he starts scoring and possibly even Campbell there can only be good for City as we go on! Leeds and Leicester will be HUGE tests for us; if we come away with 4 points I'll be delighted!

Doesn't look likely that Frazier will be coming, but agree either would be great additions.
