No offence but Everton are a side well known for starting slowly and finishing strongly. this season they have started brilliantly and its likely they will finish even stronger. Everton are favourites for that 4th spot as it stands as Arsenal and Spurs are pretty laughable right now although we all know Arsenal will be fighting for it come May.
1 defeat in our last 20 league games, would say that you're saying that in hope, rather than in being in posession of any real facts with which to make a case to back up your twaddle. Here's a fact for you to ponder. Since mid December last year you've only bettered our result in the same round of matches, twice in 32 attempts (the derby at Anfield & when you beat Reading the other week & we drew). We have bettered your result 14 times & there's been 16 matched results - meaning that we've taken 58 points to your 32. Reality's a bitch isn't it mate
I wasn't referring to the Roy stuff but your attempt to get a reaction regarding this specific BR comment on another thread (on the Liverpool board, today). My point was I've already read your "other fan" opinion on this board on this very subject. The repetition yet again makes you sound like a WUM out to get a reaction, so congratulations ...sort of. As for your "multi board " excuse (also a repetition lol) exactly how multi are you? I haven't checked but based on the fact there are only a Noah's ark number of Everton fans on here I'm going to have a wild guess and say the vast majority of your posts are particularly singular in thread travel.? Yes? No? Travel to Villa's or West Broms board this week? Fulhams? You get my point. I'll never say you shouldn't be here but I'm not going to just pretend you are doing anything other than attempting to get the rise & call you on it. If you don't like that well you can ask yourself your own question. And no I don't agree with you as I have repeated: I think you have to take our Brendan's colourful vocabulary with a pinch of salt. His "fantastic" is our "that'd be just ok" I can't wait to hear what words he uses for winning something myself.
frank - go look up the words 'local' & 'rival' mate. Of course I have a greater interest in you lot than I do West Brom, in the same way you lot have much more of an interest in United than Wigan. So dismount the high horse &' take it' for what it was, a comment on a thread ffs. As for Brendan, a cynic could suggest that he uses OTT expressions to make the mundane seem more exciting.
But during that time you never had two cup competitions running in conjunction with your league campaign from 'mid December' until may and a further European competition from before the present league campaign began. That's the real reality.
Here's a more interesting fact, Liverpool have won more in the last 10 months than Everton have in the last 17 1/2 years. Tell your ma, your ma to wipe away all your tears You've won nothing in 18 years Tell your ma, your ma I hope Moyes wins the same amount in the next 10 years as he's won in the last 10 years.
Not forgetting the happy, smily faces around the Liverpool training ground. Unquestionably happier and smilier faces than at Everton's training ground.
There is also more chance of someone getting marriage advice from Wayne Rooney, John Terry and Ryan Giggs than there is of Everton winning it.
Of course the league's bread and butter TB but you have to fulfill the cup games and they undoubtably take their toll on a relatively thin squad.
Spot on. Lets hope the owners allow Brendan to bulk up the squad between now and the start of next season.
Keeping it relevant to the League, which is what we were discussing, actually you'll find that in the last 10 1/2 months you've won 7 out of 39 league games (or a seasons worth if you wish) Compared to our 14 wins in the same period - or to put it another way, TWICE AS MANY.
If you explain what a "smily" is i might agree with you NOF, but you being you i somehow doubt that would be possible.
Cup games aren't the reason you've been pretty dire in the league for the whole of 2012. 3 home league wins in 10 1/2 months isn't down to the FA Cup mate, come on.
What piece of silverware did you win for doing that? Is it displayed in your trophy room, that you've managed to win more than 10 games in a calender year for the first time since 1987? How standards have dropped. Failure is seen as success by Everton fans. David Moyes is seen as Evertons greatest ever manager, even greater than Balloon-head aka Joe Royle who actually won something.
