How about .. Who ___ 'My generation' Pulp ___ 'Help the aged' Bill Withers __ Grandma's Hands.... where he sings about gnarled, arthritic hands that soothe, scold, point the way, and punctuate pearls of wisdom appropriate?
Paul, I'm touched. I'm also caught on the hop, because I didn't expect it, so I'll have a think - my Dad suggested When I'm 64, but I think I'll give that a miss... AllHell - definitely not the second one... I continue to be amazed by everyone's good wishes - thank you.
I've played My Generation a few times, don't know that Pulp song. I'll have a listen to the third suggestion and if I like.....
Paul, After a lot of thought, I settled on Rocking in the Free World by Neil Young. Had to discard a lot of great songs on the way and finally I was left with this one, Paranoid and Smoke on the Water. Listened to Neil Young for as long as I've been coming to The Valley, more than 45 years - he never fails to amaze me. This (and a win against Palace) will bring my week of celebration to a fine conclusion. Thank you once again. Geoffrey/Tewkes
