Well written, in my opinion, but as if teams don't waste time ,one way or another when 2-0,2-1 up. Would love to be in the position to find out! Embarrassing to feel the need to write to PNE about it.
Poor soul....... It's not as if Fulham didn't waste time at HQ hanging on grimly to their 2-1 lead a few weeks ago..........
All very true that no teams are innocent of this but... why on earth can't the football authorities put an end to this nonsense? It's simple: games are scheduled for 60 minutes rather than 90 but a timekeeper is employed to stop the clock whenever the ball is dead or out of play. In that scenario there is no point time wasting other than by trying to retain possession. Rugby is able to solve these kind of problems, why not football?
Sorry Aaaaagh that's far to simple and effective the Football Authorities would never contemplate anything so sensible........
Ah bless him, all teams waste time when it suits. If the roles had been reversed I'm sure there wouldn't have been too many complaints. Get over it, there are far more important things going on in the world.
In one of the recent footy think tank reports, it was suggested to have two halves of 30 minutes if actual play (ie the clock stops on all stoppages of play. I recall correctly, it generally was not well received by fans on forums. But is is the clear way to avoid non play time-wasting.
