Remind me how many the three strikers Rafa brought in have between them this season? Don't worry I'll wait. The debate for me isn't if Mitro is a top class or bang average striker or even a **** striker - it's is he better than what Rafa has replaced him with?
Fair enough. It would only be fair to do a like for like comparison on the games where we've played the same opposition (Crystal Palace, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs) and it's 1 goal each for Joselu and Mitrovic.
So what you are saying is that Joselu, the £5M striker, is doing better than the £20M striker we sold? Well I never!
"Remind me how many the three strikers Rafa brought in have between them this season" was the question... keep squirming by all means. I mean ffs Josepoo has one less than Salah in nearly half the mins, I hope you're not trying to make that comparison lads.
All three have the same as Mitrovic in like for like games. I've already said this. If you want to get beyond putting the cones out for your local under 11s you'll have to learn to analyse statistics better young man.
And some people wonder why we are called delusional... No...no they don't mate, What you're saying is vs Tottenham Joselu got one and Mitro and no one scored vs Palace. But regardless none of our shower of ****e could score against Palace or Cardiff, while Mitro has score goal against better teams this season already like Watford, Burnley and Brighton... Like I say we will see at the end of the season who ends up with more goals, our entire strike force or Mitrovic, only hope is Muto turns in a few more performances like yesterdays.
That's not what you said. You asked about performance so far. Check your stats if you still aspire to be a top coach like Rafa.
OK -I'll bite! Every striker depends on service. Mitro's game depends on quality crosses ,either on the ground ,or aerial. In our last two games he has had nothing to work with ergo no goals. The next round of games sees the first quarter of the season arrive. If he can replicate the first quarter he will score 20 goals. The problem is -that like your lot - we are low on confidence. I watched your game on Saturday, and if any side were capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory it was NUFC - two goals up at the interval-could have been three, but for a missed call for a penalty appeal - however, in the second half you collapsed like a house of cards when United scored, and from there on there was only going to be one winner. Your season in some way mirrors ours. Away at Everton and at home to Arsenal we held our own for the first half - however once the opposition scored in the second half we too collapsed. Interesting to note that Ashley decided that an £8 pizza dinner would be a good way of motivating players, I read that Riley's Fish Shack at King Edward's Bay do an excellent meal, but at £25 a head it was beyond Ashley's budget. Perhaps the money would be better spent with a few sessions with a Sports Psychologist - something both of our club's could use!
See he got another couple for Serbia last night. Just can't stop scoring. What puzzles me is why did we pay £15m for a striker then NOT play to his strengths???
Remind me how many goals he has thus far and how many our 4 Strikers have between in the league them Chippy...
