Fryatt is the only natural goalscorer we have, in fact when was the last time a forward scored a goal in a league game because Koren seems to score more from midfield than when he is up front

Stream was good for a change so watched the game.
First half we were competent and created a few chances. Brighton although they had a fair bit of possession did not create much. An even game at that point.
Second half I though some of uur football was a joy to watch, created lots of chances but as you know none went in. On another day they would have If we continue to play like the second half in the future some of those chances will be converted. City were easily the better side that half and deserved to draw if not win.
Nick P was as effective as Jay S. Still hoping he will come good. Jay does not waste a lot of balls when he gets it, but, does not seem to get himself into scoring positions enough. Why is he not getting on the end of those great crosses from Brady and Elmo? Is it him or would other strikers have the same problem.
Their goal should have been disallowed, Evans was clearly pushed-more like shoved out of the way- by the Brighton player at the end of the wall.
Lots of great crosses from Brady and Elmo, but, we only got on the end of one of them--Meylers volley which missed, another day that would have gone in. Elmo and Brady were outstanding in the second half.
'There is luck and chance involved in every sport. Yesterday we had little.
We have played much worse and won.
From a points perspective we are second in the league. Three homes games ahead of us. Whats not to like. Well maybe the lack of goals, SB and all the players would agree-maybe we just need to give someone a pasting. Lets start with Derby!

And I remember correcting you at the time. One of our strikers had scored that day. For Ipswich

Emergency loan needed now, Fryatt could be back for the playoffs & Aluko/Gedo will hopefully be fit if we need them

    Simpson is a midfielder. FACTOID.

We're going to be playing catch-up, which IMO, is better because you don't feel the pressure from those below you. Once Gedo and Aluko are fit, I can see them being the front two.

At the moment we have to do with our makeshift strikeforce of Koren and Simpson. Proschwitz needs to start banging them in too...

No he isn't! Although some may argue he isn't a striker either! I posted a couple of weeks ago, referring to November time when we were all screaming for Simpson to be offered a new deal. How many would still offer him a new contract now?
