what are your thoughts? leon poor by his standards ? michu in the hole not up front ? pablo looking every inch the quality player we saw at valencia? Laudrup spotless tactically again ? itay, what do you think ? Leon played ok for me, he had to be careful after the yellow but he generally had a decent game. Michu in the hole for sure. We conceded when he went off because he offers interceptions and a physical presence in the final third and that is vital to have to take pressure off the back four. decent upfront but mercurial in the hole. Pablo is looking absolutley top drawer for me and he is only going to get better as the season goes on. Laudrup was defo spot on tactically. He seems to have a wonderful ability to be proactive with the way he sets up the starting line-up, but also he can be reactive when things need to change. Putting Routs on for Dyer was spot on for me. Itay: Give him another game or two to get up to speed and I think he could be perfect foil for Michu and Pablo to work around. He had very high expectations when ze Germans signed him and I think Laudrup is the guy to help him fulfill his potential.
Great game and well deserved. Michu back were he belongs and Pablo once again improved his game. How good can he get? Monk and especially Ash did very well. Davies did okay despite looking a bit panicky in his forward passing. Itay and Danny both did well although the jury is still out on Itay if he can actually hammer it in. Though at the moment Itay looks more promising than Danny. I believe it's safe to say our counter-attacking is the real deal and today it was very good. Very important 3 points on a day were the Prem went upside down.

Funny enough i was having a look at flights to newcastle for the game as i guessed there would be plenty of tickets available for home and away fans, weekend flights are hiked high as fook though. thanks dilli , i will have a lok at em later

Norway lets hope Jenkins sees the potential of Laudrup , Michu,Pablo,Chico, De Guzman and extends they contracts and sign them all for a say 5yrs each with a price tag of say 20 Million each, Also a NOT FOR SALE SIGN ON EACH OF THEM, you all know what will happen if we do well and stay in the prem. the big boys come chaseing at the end of the seasion and our best players will be gone also our Top gun M L. We know its early days yet we have a makeing of a great team that can keep us in the prem for yrs to come so come on MR Jenkings do the right thing and keep every one at the Swans.

Didn't realise that Dilligaf was on same coach as me last night, as it turned out we weren't bricked....Ugo said our driver hit a sign post as we left but wanted to keep it quiet to spare his blushes. Thankfully it was only the outer glass of the double glazed back window that broke so once he'd tapped out the broken glass we were on our way,.Great trip and a thoroughly deserved three points.
