To be fair I do not think that the formation has been invented that would suit Dembele, Sig, Defoe, Eriksen, Lamela better than Lennon, Modric, Sandro, Bale, VdV and Ade. Cos, after all the tactics and positions and formations quite simply our current players are simply not as good as those Harry had. I honestly think it's back to competing for the EL spots for a couple of years. Players we have right now just aren't good enough. OK the new guys need more time to settle but the sort of turn-around in their form (by which I mean ability to pass, shoot, dribble, control a ball) that would be required for me to suddenly think we've actually improved the squad over the last season or so - well I'm not sure if I've ever seen that sort of improvement in a new signing. Levy has seriously ****ed up this club in the last couple of years. He's thrown away the best team and manager we've had for decades and now we're left living in pure hope that players that look nothing special suddenly start looking good enough to replace Modric, VDV et al. Wouldn't mind but so far none of them even look like improvements on the Lennons and Defoes of this world!
The other day you were saying how limited you were and how difficult the infinitely more intelligent and uber qualified avb's style of play was to understand. If you have the level of understanding to write what you've wrote here, then you know full well avb's methods were poor, poor for Spurs. His ideas may work well elsewhere, but thats up to him now about and how he applies them, thats his biggest problem.
