No managers since Shankly and Paisley have managed to come close. Very different characters who brought far more to the role and the club than just players. Trouble is that they set the standard so high that all of their successors appear to have failed.
well Kenny didn't, but yes i agree with the general point. circumstances dictated his career sadly, if he had stayed first time round who knows what might have been.
