I can see him staying if I'm honest. Clubs will know he'll cost £150m+. PSG delayed Mbappe to this summer to circumvent FFP, so they're unlikely to spend another substantial amount on a single player. Real Madrid give the impression that they're going for an overhaul which may rule out paying a ridiculous sum for a single player.

I can't see Man City getting him as PL rivals, plus they already have a few quality wingers in their system.

Realistically -
Who can afford him?
Who needs him?
Who would spend a disproportionate sum on a single player? (will need to be a team that has little else to improve on)

 

If we need to win things we must hold on to our best players.

 

As good as Salah is, I really don't think he would shine as well at many other clubs. His achievements are much to the fact that (not only is he fantastic but) we fit his playing style perfectly.

He will be good if he went, wherever he went; but, I do think us, and our playing style is especially suited to him.

 

I agree with this but that won’t matter if someone offers the club £200 mil.
The big big clubs will all want him, they may wait to see if he continues form next year or see how he deals with an injury - but he will be attracting suitorsand our current track record is we sell when price is right. Tbf if someone was to offer 200mil+ I don’t think you could turn it down, could you?
I agree also though, that we shouldn’t be selling best players - that is why I would like to see us liking now

I don't see him going anywhere tbh. We won't want to lose him after one season, other clubs won't be willing to part with the £150m+ it'll take to get him after just one top season.

I think he'll sign a new bumper contract this summer.

 

With Keita coming in, if we manage to keep hold of our main players (front three plus VVD & Robbo) and add a couple of quality signings (CB and CM), we'll be a very good side next season

You know what really annoys me about the speculation we're going to sell Salah is the fact that every time they trot out the list of plyers we've sold; like Alonso, Masch, Torres, Cortina, Sterling... they always, always forget to mention Alvaro Arbeloa.
Not one of the ffing websites, ever mentions Alvaro. Why does everyone always forget our rightback that we sold to Madrid.
FFs give the guy the respect he's due. If your going to throw the players we've sold back in our faces, at least include all of them.

Can't see him going this summer, maybe next summer if (big if) he keeps up his current form and convinces the elite few to big hugely for him or (more likely) next summer if we don't win anything.
