The Reds forward took 37 per cent of the vote, which was open to fans of all clubs, with his teammate Roberto Firmino finishing second in the poll with 19 per cent. It’s the third time this season Salah has collected the accolade, with the Egyptian scoring four league goals in three appearances last month. Also in the running were Jack Butland (Stoke City), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Pascal Gross (Brighton & Hove Albion) and Eden Hazard (Chelsea) http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/292944-mohamed-salah-pfa-player-of-the-month
the poty has already been pre-decided for de bruyne. If Salah is POTM for more months but debruyne already has POTY in the bag its a joke but imo thats what has happened
at19:32 'I want to thank everyone' Liverpool 5-0 Watford please log in to view this image Liverpool Liverpool's four-goal hero Mo Salah, who has scored now scored 36 times this season, speaking to BT Sport: "I have to thank everyone but mainly my team-mates, without them I couldn't reach this number. "Each game we try to win the three points, but every game I want to score and help the team. But today the most important thing is three points. "We showed a god reaction after the last game. We had a good result and clean sheet - that's most important."
So am I right, that Salah has now scored 30 league goals... Isn't the record for a 38 game premier league season 31 goals? Set by Suarez and someone else. Salah could shatter that this year. Edit:. Sorry, I can't count. He's at 28. Still 4 more goals to break the record. As long as he doesn't bite someone or call someone a honky he could get that record. As good as he is playing people might soon be saying "Harry Kane... Who?" "Lionel Messi... Who?" Maybe even... "Who is Derek Asamoah?"
28 / 31 (games played) * 38 = 34.3 If he averages same goals per games Liverpool has played over rest of the season he will break the record.
Salah - the record-breaker Salah has scored 36 goals for Liverpool in all competitions - the most by a single player in their debut season for the Reds. He has scored 28 Premier League goals this season - only one African player has managed more in a single campaign (Didier Drogba's 29 in 2009-10). Salah is the first Egyptian player to score a Premier League hat-trick, with Egypt the 43rd nation overall and the 10th African country to provide a hat-trick scorer in the competition. The winger scored four goals from his four shots - the first player to do so in the Premier League since Andrey Arshavin in April 2009, also at Anfield.
I know we won’t like discussing this but does no one else feel it inevitable we will lose Salah either This summer Next winter Or next summer if lucky. Personally I think it will be one of the earlier ones. Not being doom and gloom, but I do not see how we can hold onto him. I actually would expect to see city go after Salah with everything they have. Also PSG have already shown what they are prepared to spend. I know he has said he loves our club but at the end of the day we are all old enough to know how this works. We may get lucky and he may be like LeTiss or Gerrard but those names are very few and far between. Should we not start looking for the replacement sooner rather than later ? Is there anyone out there who would be similar and fit into Klopps system ? Or should we look at tweeking the system as no two players are the same. I wouldn’t like to see us repeat the same mistakes as with Suarez or are we thinking no way he will go ?
Most goals I doubt he would leave this summer. World cup year may be of help. If he continues scoring freely, it will be difficult keeping him after 2018/2019. Just pray we win the league next year.
