In theory yes, but while society frowns upon aggression towards females it would be an issue. With regards to the military, solutions have been found but there are still roles that females are not allowed to do.
The only sports women can compete against in are non-contact like motorsport, but even there you would have thought there would have been a champion v the men so far but the women seem to get to the lower tiers of racing and thats it. I can't think of any sports where woman can beat men apart from maybe board-games or poker and technically you could say they are not sports at all
1895: The first women's football match. North beat South 7-1. 1920: The first womenâs international game. Preston-based Dick Kerrâs Ladies beat a French XI 2-0. Attendance: 25,000. 1920: The biggest crowd to date for a womenâs game. On Boxing Day, 53,000 watch Dick Kerr's Ladies beat St Helen's Ladies 4-0. 1921: The FA bans women from playing on Football League grounds. ââ¦the game of football is quite unsuitable for females and ought not to be encouraged." http://www.thefa.com/GetIntoFootbal...omensAndGirls/History_of_womens_football.aspx I seem to remember hearing once that the FA banned women because they feared the crowds the women were getting endangered the future of the men's game. Just think without this active sexism we might have been cheering for Roberta Koren, Matilda Fryatt or Jamilla Chester!
Ignoring the argument about them not being sports, I suppose the lack of women in snooker and darts highlights some of the differences. But should that be enough to exclude them on gender grounds?
There is a female darts player that competes in the major events and does pretty well, can't think of her name though. Granted she's probably the only one, but it's a start.
