Kimbo did well in the Development Squad game v. Wurzels so good luck to the guy for setting out his store and giving Slade options for Saturday. A Kimbo on form certainly helps the attacking part of our game but weakens us defensively. Perhaps Kimbo for Saturday at home but Ralls away at the Cherries.
Bluey - if Kimbo is picked and does OK Saturday, there is no way in this world that Slade should drop him again for the next game at Bournemouth. The guy will need a run on the back of his excellent Dev squad game - benching him again (unless he doesn't perform) would be a killer.
True Sparks but Bournemouth are a very different proposition to Rotherham. Kimbo will be called upon to help his defence and full back in particular at Dean Court or whatever it is called nowadays - not his strong point. Perhaps we should go 4 - 5 - 1 for that. A extra mid fielder to do more defensive duties with Kimbo operating behind the front man. Slade to change his 4 - 4 - 2 philosophy? Yes, I know I jumping a game ahead but 3 points down south would send out a real message to the division.
Surprised to see someone pull a hamstring as a result of taking a shot on goal. If City don't have another out and out wide man (and they don't save Kadeem Harris) then Slade will surely have to ditch his 4-4-2. I'd go 4-3-1-2 The back 5 picks itself with maybe some rotation. Central midfield pairing is set in stone, Gunner & Whitt'm. Noone takes the only wide spot now. Daehli or Morrison comes in for Pilk'n. However whoever he picks cannot go wide but has to play ahead of the midfield 2 to ,link in with the runs of Le Fondre. Noone can get the wide balls into Jones. Ralls cannot be as effective as either of those 2 offensively. He is the cover for the central midfielders. Adeyami is not suited to that role either. However he may be useful if Slade wants 3 in central midfield, with Whitt'm in the quarter back role. Saying all of that I fully expect Slade not to pick Daehli or Morrison and instead go 4-4-2 with Adeyami or Ralls and Gunner in central midfield Whitt'm more deep. Jones and le Fondre up top.
