Most Sunderland fans assumed the rumours of interest in Ever Banega were just that until the news was gradually confirmed by reliable reports in England. Sky Sports this week claimed that the Premier League club had made contact with Valencia about a possible move, we believe their sources to be a tweet from a Times journalist.

In Spain, Super Deporte - Valencia's local newspaper, have been covering the Banega situation for some time but it's not Sunderland who are being mentioned. The latest club is Inter Milan and although the Serie A side would be considered a bigger club they don't have the same financial power as Sunderland.

Not so much like, Italian football, financially is absolutely ****ed.

The likes of Moratti who owns Inter are not even in the same stratosphere as multi-billionaire English club owners, however, they do have the weather advantage, and clearly Milan is a bit better for shopping...

Banega is a fantastic footballer, make no mistake, that You Tube footage is not 'best bits' the lad find angles for passes and drifts into space beyond his man for fun, both traits we are desperate for.

My only concern is his size, he's only tiny, and he isn't quick, although carries a decent short burst of acceleration.

Banega or Bridcutt? Don't make me laugh like, it's not even a consideration.

    2. And we'll take Bridcutt for free in the summer. Thank you very much.

Agreed when it comes to ability but when it comes to keeping the dressing room happy Banega has a reputation as a bit of a nutter so it really depends if Gus thinks he can control him. Bridcutt on the other hand is a known quantity to him.

Look at Giacc is he is struggling to get a game at the moment and is a regular Italian international. It might be that Bridcutt is better for our tam and system??

Yeah, there is that, and of course the fact that Gus is so certain on Bridcutt is also a factor, the lad must, in Gus opinion, be ready.

Whatever Gus goes with, I'll be happy with, I trust the man entirely, it's just the fact that I've seen Ever perform superbly in a very technical, that's the kind of player I want at the club.
