Great credit to the Allam's for backing SB, from what I can see the players brought in are excellent additions, the hard part now is managing them all, and keeping them happy. As far as the financial side is concerned, what has been spent should be manageable as long as we finish mid table or better.

Taken from BBC Sport's Facebook account

"From Javier Hernandez's move from Manchester United to Real Madrid C.F. to Sandro's move from Tottenham Hotspur to Hull City A.F.C."

Well that's one I never knew about ;)!

Deffo agree with most of the comments above. Massive thanks to the Allams for supporting Brucey and to Brucey himself for some shrewd wheeling and dealing. UTT

I would say this transfer window may have been a peace offering from the Allams for all the **** they have done recently.

    Fair play.

I would say this is the Allams doing what they've been doing from day 1 in a business sense.

Sure, they've had some PR disasters and some ideas which didn't work out, but, they carry on, and that's why they're successful.

How many other managers, genuinely, speak about their bosses the way Brucie does?

We'll miss the Allams when they've gone, we've never ever had it so good.

Completely agree HT. Yesterday was truly an extraordinary day for Hull City as recognized by commentators and other teams supporters around the league. Bruce was brilliant with his signings/loans, as he has been since he became our Manager, undeniably now the best we have ever had. But none of this would have been possible without the financial backing of the Allam family. For years, following the Needler era, Hull City fans moaned about the lack of interest and financial support from local business interests. Now we have that and yet there are a few such as Blampey and Hat who remain fixated on the name change issue and seem incapable of recognizing the benefits the Allams have brought to the club. All I can say is look where we are today and think back to the dark days 15 or so years ago when it appeared we were heading out of the League. I wake up every morning thinking I must have been dreaming. But its a reality....smell the roses and stop your endless and boring vilification of a family who have transformed the team we all support!!!

For me they've shown they are prepared totrust a manager and back his judgement, no more can be asked as far as footy terms are concerned .. well done to all involved in the best transfer window in our history imho

We currently have the best squad our club has ever assembled under probably our best manager ever, i don't think we can be to critical of the Allams. With our net spend around 25m (After Ince's fee is added on) we can re-coup half of that as mentioned from finishing in the top half, we get around 65m in TV money in my eyes our wages can't of gone over 50m if they have not by much. Either way i know we have lot more income and expenditure, but we can't be making a huge loss this year and given that Diame, Snodgrass, Hernandez, Ince, Robertson, Maguire are long time signings who could quite easily be with us whilst we are a top half club, we shouldn't need to having a huge net spend again.

    Could be a new start?

I never really doubted them and it's a shame some things have got out of hand in the process.

    Excellent. Hope we kick on.

Sometimes in business, you have to be ruthless. The Allams did fantastically well to trade him in for Bruce - still to this day their best piece of business.

It really is a shame about the name change thing, really we should be erecting statues of these guys but the name change is/got very bitter. Hopefully they let is rest.

We should remember what they've also done for the city, other sporting teams, university and medical school.

Might be a bit late to this, so apologies if it has been said, but it definitely looks like the Allams are putting the name change stuff to bed and are going to concentrate on getting back the support which was lost. Last night will have certainly helped that big style.

Slightly O/T, but don't be surprised if next season our crest has the words Hull City on it.

The name change isn't going away, its simply not as much of an issue for Assem at the moment. He felt the way forward was to get big investors in and Steve Bruce showed him that points mean places and places means millions.

I'd like you to find proof of my fixation over the name change old man.

I think you'll find he's moved on, it's just not as important to them any more. They're not totally oblivious to what's happened you know.

The challenging thing will be to get some fans to move on.

This, as it is written here is spot on; I can't disagree with it. <ok>

This, as it is written here, is bollocks in parts, accurate in a small way and naïve in the way that it takes the WUM, Mr Hat, seriously. I believe every serious poster (including Stuart Blampey) has been able to accept their (the Allam's) successful business management of the teams progress; but some of the commercial aspects (shop, tickets, seat moves, etc) have not been so professional. The matter of the name change showed a poor aspect of their character in that they thought (maybe still do think) that they can lie, cheat and manipulate their customer base. I hope, that as the true results of sensible financial and brand (Hull City AFC) management take place, we can leave the name-change to die with those darks days you so patronisingly speak of - we can see the good they do; we do and have constantly given credit for it, but we reserve the right to recognise lies, we reserve the right to fight them when they are being used to undermine the heritage of our football club. :emoticon-0149-no:

Well I hope you are still fixated by it.. as I still am

It's not immediately a concern but the issue is sure to re-surface
