A Balanced View

its not the Bruce is good or bad (and where he can or cant take us) that is the problem, its the fact that you insult those who have a different opinion to you. You think Bruce is ****, that is fair enough. Your entitled to your opinion, but I am also entitled to mine without being insulted.

Sorry but you've only been a member for a couple of months so how's that ages.................... As I've said about you in previous posts you are a negative **** who should **** off and leave the discussion to peole who actually love SAFC and can think for themselves and want the best for this club (even if we don't agree about how to go about it).

you know what this is immature

i kinda like this forum because its not like the smb where everyon just shouts mindless abuse at each other

truce eh fella?

i'll respect your feelings for bruce in

Without wishing to go into too much depth re: the mags, maybe they should hang fire a little before assuming they will finish above us. Yes they have started brilliantly but remember last season when you contrived to throw the top dogs tag away conceding 3 goals in about 20 minutes or whatever it was!!

Seriously they are 1 or 2 injuries away from really struggling. Collocini looks a class act these days and for me is the sole reason Taylor looks good, Tiote and Cabaye do a good job in their midfield but behind them are Guthrie etc, and up top somehow that Ba is banging them in, but remember he is prone to the odd injury!!

Fair play though they have started well, but dont count your chickens

Thing is, at the start of last season you said : top 10 this year, top 8 the year after, Europe the year after. With Bruce you are just continually extending the time limits, and in 2 seasons time would still be saying "next 2 years we need solid top 10" IMO.

When did I say that? I have always said we should be aiming top ten for a few season before pushing on - steady progress is what I want and have always wanted. If we achieve top 7 next season, then I will be over the moon - but if we only get top ten then I wont be complaining.

You're a pretty pig-headed and ignorant football fan, Pardew has already come through 2 transfer windows, losing arguably 4 of our top 6 players in the process, and we have proved that we have the team spirit, scouting and management quality to bounce back from it and push on. To continually say that "when we sell our best players we will start to drop" is ludicrous as we have already proven that that isn't the case.

When did i say anything of those things?

You are a twat, for insulting me for no reason. If i was a WUM, then you just bit hard on the bait - but I am not, and I stand by my opinion.

You cant judge a how good a manager is on 11 months in charge of a club when they have to remodel and rebuild the squad, that goes for Pardew, Bruce or anybody else. We are only just getting to the point where we can judge Bruce now, in fact, provided Bruce survives the next 4 games and we claim a top ten this season, then I dont think we will know exactly what Bruce is capable of until next season - after a summer transfer window where we only need 1 or 2 players and not an entire new squad.

eh? when did I say that to you? i'd like to see the entire conversation, cos i wouldnt of said that if it was just debating unless it got heated 1st. I wouldnt tell you to **** off unless I had (or felt I had) a reason at the time.
This newton lad insults people all the time, even before people have started a debate (pre-emptive insulting?)

newtonlee2 I've never fallen out with any one on here even after been savaged by Cest a couple of times and try to take all opinions into account even if I don't agree with them (that's the beauty of this forum) but you are a brown nosing **** if you had your tounge any further up Pie dodgers arse you'd be tickling his tonsils have an original thought for **** sake.
As for Cest, Pie Dodger and cuteybuns I can understand your frustration, but IMHO if Bruce can get 8 out of 12 points from the next 4 games (totally do-able) then our season will have turned the corner and Bruce will have steadied the ship...............................But if we get 6 or less then I've already stated what I think. Can Bruce take us to a European place I honestly don't know. But live in Hope.
There used to be a Fanzine which summed up Sunderland fans perfectly (IMO) called "It's the Hope I Can't Stand" maybe some of us have lost that hope...

Savaged by me? I couldn't savage a flamin hamster mate. Lol

As for the rest, I'm sorry but with 3 home games against Fulham, wigan and blackburn and an away game against wolves, if you really think 8 points is a canny return then you're in danger of completely under selling the whole club. An absolute minimum of 3 home wins and A draw at wolves should be the order of kid day if Bruce really is the man. Anything less and we may as well have Mick Buxton back in charge and save ourselves a fortune in wages and ambition.

Do I think he is remotely capable of delivering 3 home wins and an away draw in 4 games?

Like **** I do. I reckon we will be lucky to get 7 points out of the 4 games and then its spurs, city and Everton.

****e and whirling fans comes to mind at this point.

You said not to judge Pardew until a couple of transfer windows time, I pointed out that he has already been through 2, losing key players in both of them.
And you have been "1 or 2 players away from a complete squad" for the past 5 transfer windows <doh>

Oh aye Cest savaged me good style in the past must be a ****ing hamster me. LOL.
I expect a minimum of 8 points from our next 4 games anything less then as I said in one of your posts even from a commited BIB then he should go give someone else a chance, Let them get to know the club and players before the next transfer window.

just checked it out, it was when you had spent quite some time calling Jordan "judas", saying our club has no ambitions, saying the BiBs were gullible and swallowing **** etc etc. so i told you to **** off, cos you were saying I (and other BiBs) was gullible and were dismissing my opinion cos I was swallowing Bruce's "lies".

cuteybuns can quote me once, from a thread 3 months old, insulting someone. I could probably quote you insulting people every time you comment on a thread and someone disagrees. you've insulted people at least twice today already

no we havent (at least IMO), last season we had a fair few players on loan and needed to replace them - which is why we bought 11 players this summer. This season we only have 1 player on loan, and need to get 1 or 2 more (probably replace Bramble and strengthen our LB position).

I know pardew has already been through 2 windows, and he has done well in those - but he has taken risks on one or 2 players nobody else wanted due to injury concerns. That policy has worked for now, but will it again?
