Personally I think Ralph should have gone with a 3-5-2 from the start but that's in hindsight TBF.

 

Am pondering bacon sarnie for breakfast this morning (to soak up the bottle of merlot l drank last night) and l remembered your post from yesterday. What l wanted to ask is did you remember the brown sauce?

Yeah had a lot of that near to me too which is incredibly ****ing boring as well.

I thought we had a 10-15 minute spell just before the second where it looked like we might come back into it and there was next to no response from the crowd.

Like you say you're never going to get much at 4-0 but there wasn't even a bit of defiance or anything really.

Probably down to the expectation where we've been playing well. Really, really poor.

With an embarrassing score line, the only way to salvage any pride is to sing and ridicule yourselves. I don’t think half our fans even know what irony is though.

Brown sauce and mustard is my recommendation although HP may be hard to get as it's made in the Netherlands.

Ings showing a bit more class than our fans by not celebrating his goal. However, his post match comment struck me as a bit odd - "It was quite easy not to celebrate because I have so much respect for Southampton - they almost gave me a second chance in football"

Although he brought Valery on and went 352 at HT and they almost immediately scored 2 more
I’ve seen Saints play badly with 3 at the back more than well
I think the danger is that the shape is more complex than a 4 and the 3 can get out of shape while the FBs lose their defensive focus

Only seen highlights but looked like the whole defensive 2 CBs and 2 DMs weren’t in their game, however Villa seemed to have more energy all over the field, the recent run has required a lot of energy from the team, maybe we needed one of these to reset

We seem to have attracted a shed load of ****ers recently. After the Norwich game walking back towards town there were a group of 5 or 6 in their very early 20's giving **** to Norwich fans minding their own business. It really really pisses me off
