There was a football coach in the village that I lived in, he looked after the younger kids and did that for many years, he trained me as well. They eventually named the ground after him. Some young girls were messing about in the changing rooms and Billy told them off, they went home and told their parents and made other accusations. The police were called and it went to court. He went away and the family were left to deal with the aftermath. The girls came clean years later and he was let out but an old man before he went in didn't last long after that.
I guess some of the songs are famous to the folk who bought their albums and not so much to the people who’ve never heard of them?
I’ll have to dig out that thread where you ran through some of the stories from that album. Having listened to it for 20 years it was interesting to read what inspired them to write the songs.
