I seriously think we have the opportunity to take nine points from the next three games. Then we take on Burnley, which I think will decide the 2nd place issue...
Often such posts are over optimistic but I think I agree with you if we are serious about a top 2 finish. I thought yesterday was going to be a tough test and maybe it was - I was not at the game. 9 points will do very nicely thank you. Meanwhile Leicester have the humiliated Leeds at Elland Road next week. Leeds owe it to their fans to cause an upset there. Then Borough at home then Brum away. More potential for a slip there hopefully. Maybe this QPR team will actually improve further as we've all been hoping it would.
You can't predict anything in this league, Huddersfield have Wells up and running, Wednesday have just hit six and Bolton are no mugs. As Col says, one at a time...
Even so, we could well go on a winning run now. Yesterday's three points were vital. IF this happens we could be in the position to beat Burnley and put them quite a few points behind us. Fingers crossed!
This. There's always a 'banana skin' around the corner for every team in this league - especially the top three. As said, Wells will want to show his worth against us next week; Wednesday will be brimming with confidence and feel they can shut up shop and get a point; and Bolton can't be under estimated. It's what makes this league so difficult. Still, we may have a new striker who will want to put away some of those chances we keep creating too. So who knows! February could be season defining though - big month! One game at a time...
Here we go. I knew there'd be one who couldn't resist. One decent win away from home and all of a sudden we're going to win our next three This division is as tough as nails and there are no set of fixtures you can look at and say, yep, we should win all those. Some geezers never learn do they?
I seem to recall reading posts like this earlier in the season & then we failed to record one win. Can't we take ii one game at a time? Next week we will have Wells to contend with & the following week a trip to Wednesday will be a very difficult game. They have been slowly improving their season & yesterday's result will give them a further lift. Don't rule out that they win at Burnley next week.
However we seem to be playing and whoever we play we are averaging 2 points and thats what we need to conti nue with. 90 points will be enough I reckon and we are still capable of that. Why wouldnt we be?? Take each game as it comes. 3 points from portman road is an excellent result. And after our boxing day hammering 7 points from the following three games is more than decent. We have had a lot of tough away days vs top teams in my book. I still am a believer we will be top 2.
I don't see 9 pts over the next 3 games, minimum 4 max. 7. What I do see is a squad that has strength in depth, a team that will continue to get stronger and a top 2 finish at the end of the season. It won't be easy, but we can do it. You Rssssssssssss
Sheff Wed still have an outstanding cup replay against the mighty Mac so more than likely our game will be re-arranged
3 tough games coming up and as Harold keeps saying they are all tough games..... Huddersfield have a decent strike force in Vaughan and now Wells, although don't know if Vaughan is still out injured......Hillsborough has never been our best hunting ground except for that memorable day when we secured promotion and then Burnley who despite some people thinking they will falter are still going strong and will be there or there abouts come the end of the season. The plus point is that 2 of those game are at home, but 7 points would be a good return and would keep a healthy gap over the chasing pack....
