I wasn't saying to drop Morgan. I'm just saying I'd like to see Cork come on more as a sub.

If you don't feel confident playing Jack Cork (or anyone else) up 2-0 with 20 minutes against that Fulham team, then you might as well just transfer them now because I can't think of a situation where you'd play him or he could actually help the team.

It has to be the same team for me, the front four looked the most effective as they have all season and the whole team look to be clicking into form at the same time. Dani will of course play a part in the game at some point, assuming that he is fit.
I can see us scoring at least twice in this game, it just depends if the defence can continue to keep them out at the other end....2-1 to Saints for me.

Just peeked at a Stoke Forum...apparently we don't have a strong defence and Clyne is our weakness. When one of their fans pointed out our defensive record, the reply was that it was all due to Boruc and our backs play too far up the pitch. Phew....I hope Mauricio has spotted that :)

Stoke will make it a phsical slog but I'd back our midfield to get control.

My only fear for the Stoke game is that the one tactic that seems to keep us at bay is hoofing it over our heads to bypass our midfield.

Second-fewest shots conceded this year. Boruc is a scary guy, but I didn't realize that he intimidates opponents so badly that they refuse to shoot.

Stoke can still play a physical game, but they're at home and Hughes has got them playing football a bit these days. I think they'll try and play a bit, which might play into our hands. Fingers crossed.

Saints 0 Wrexham 1 FA Cup 5th round 1974. Round the keeper goes our Mick, ball into the stands - twice! The result that started the run that led to relegation. I don't blame Channon - in my view still the greatest player in our history - but to quote the great man himself "you 'as to miss 'em to score 'em". And I've seen him miss a few.

What Mick did was "roast 'em" (to quote fans of the time!) and Jay can do the same thing. Defenders hate attackers who run at them with pace, and Jay does this better than anyone in the team currently. Mauricio has three strikers to choose from, and they can each offer something different. Nice problem to have.

I remember that game well and one enduring memory is the Wrexham midfielder Arfon Griffith having Mick Channon in a headlock on the half way line right in front of the ref who did nothing. Refs were effing useless in those days too. The pitch was an absolute quagmire and the game was less a game of football and more a game of lets get Channon and duff him up a lot. I had never seen anything like it in my life. I think it was Wrexham who taught us how to be ale house brawlers.
