Great day to be a city and an England fan - both results could have gone either way. Been some **** results against Scotland the last few years.

We got away with it yesterday, and shows the value of having a long range kicker to slot one over from near halfway. Gave us that little cushion which ultimately won us the game.
Classic stodgy England performance really. It annoys the **** out of our rivals which is great but it isn't going to win us anything (as in a 6 nations or world cup, not a Calcutta Cup).
If the Italians put as much into the game as they do their anthem they will do well.

The Italians have put a team out with the build of footballers compared to the forwards of France who look massive.
England aren't/weren't as **** as the run of losses indicated - most of the losses, after the appalling France game at Twickenham in 2023, were relatively close ones, few points off here and there. Plus England fans, like City fans, and commentators, especially non-english ones, have got far too picky and critical of England performances, expecting world-beating performances every game. Most English victories in my lifetime have been ground out, pretty ugly victories, infuriating the opposition, mixed in with some champagne performances.
Eng/Italy game is good watching. Eng ahead 21-17 at ht.
