If Scotland hadn’t shat the bed against Italy , coupled with England’s win, would that have meant a shoot out for championship next weekend against Ireland ?

It's actually complicated with the bonus points system ie Ireland could lose next week and still get a losing bonus point, England could win and get no bonus points, even Scotland could win it but need to beat Ireland by about 80 points!

And France could win if they beat England massively and Scotland beat Ireland in a low-scoring game.
Realistically it's Ireland's to lose,England need to win with 1 bonus point and Ireland to lose.
