Tomorrow sees the men with odd-shaped balls back and it looks a much more competitive Championship this time. England must start favourites but Ireland will be as tough as ever and the resurgent Scots are real dark horses this time. Should be a cracking Saturday to start us off and I'm going for three away wins this weekend...

Ireland favourites, although Nuts will deny it. Scotland on a surge, England seem a little stale, Wales a mess of injury, France who knows and Italy going backwards.

As always, looking forward to it hugely.

Hopefully all set up for a St Patricks Day showdown between England and Ireland at Twickenham, winner takes all.........but

Scotland are the most improved side in the last 12 months, England & Wales are hampered by injuries, France are well just France, who knows what they will do. Ireland should be favourites simply because they are less affected by injuries as the players are well protected by the provinces so play less club games than the other nations.

Whatever happens it should be a cracker......
 
Despite the injuries England will still field a strong and experienced starting line up to face Italy in the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday ...

Really interesting Six Nations ahead.
I think it’s fair to suggest that Ireland and England have moved ahead of all other Northern Hemisphere teams. Both teams have very tricky opening fixtures and don’t underestimate Italy under Conor O’Shea.
If both these teams win this weekend then I see a decider in Twickers in a few weeks time. Scotland IMO are the most improved team in world rugby and they will take a big scalp in the coming weeks. They also play fast attacking rugby which is very easy on the eye. Wales will be the big losers this year IMO. Crippling injuries, a one dimensional coach and the loss of onfield leaders will surely hurt.
If Ireland win this weekend, we’ll win the Six Nations. ;)

Excellent, and probably accurate. Well done for avoiding the reverse psychology bullshit.

Can Ireland open out if needed? Very disciplined and strong, do they have the expansive game?

Ireland were hamstrung last year with key injuries. Our provinces were average at best but Schmidt built a really strong strength in depth which will serve us well over the next few years. I genuinely wasn’t confident last year but I’m cautiously optimistic this year. We have finally found some great attacking backs. For the first time in years we have powerful, athletic, pacey wingers. I think we’ll cut lose when needed this year and rip a few teams a new one.
As crazy as it sounds, tomorrow will define our season.

As usual, I expect Engalnd’s Achilles heel to be discipline. I hope it goes to Twickers, and on paper it should. One side should be favourite by then, and I suspect it will be Ireland, but too early to call.

Looking to be a good tournament.

If Ireland win at Twickenham they will fully deserve the title mate.

Hard to call this year imo, especially with so many injuries around.

Should be even more to England's advantage, just look at their bench today. Scotland v England at Murrayfield should be a humdinger, that might just be the game that really opens the championship up if the Jocks show their form that did the Aussies...
 
All the Scottish talk, looks like they are as **** as normal, they of course will raise their game for England and keep us to 20 points

Scotland look even worse this half. Halfpenny is deadly. You simply can't give kickable pens away against Wales.
 
So much for the Scottish revival, although the radio commentary said they have 9 players out for this match, obviously lacking depth in their squad...
