Well can I put it another way, we will need a back up right footed CB in case Fonte gets another foot injury.

Anyone know any good PL CB that might be available to us for a decent price. I'd like to see a PL experienced CB since we really don't have one. That would give us 3 good CB with a couple of young guys to throw in when needed. Hopefully that will get us through.

Next signing will either be a CB or RW. Doesn't matter what order - as long as we get 1 or two CBs, an attacking midfield player that can play on both wings, maybe a top-class keeper, then I'll be happy and we'll be ready for the season to come.

Just seen Spurs got Caulker on a long term deal, would have liked him a lot.

He looks about 6'2" based on the ML cup highlights, so tall enough. I don't know about relying on him at CB though, he's a full-back which most people on here seem to have forgotten.

Well, I just wouldn't feel comfortable playing him at centre-back without any experience. That's the one position (other than goalkeeper) where you really need to know what you're doing.

Let's be realistic, we'll get someone else in.

I feel obliged to answer! Bilel Moshni, League 2's answer to Balotelli has been on trial with West Ham, and played in a West Ham XI that lost 4-1 to Grays tonight.

Not really a centre-back though. He plays CB, RB, LB, RM, LM, CM and ST. Only place he hasn't played is in goal.

    He's just nuts.

Unless I'm mistaken every time Adkins has played him for the first team he has played Centre Back. Speaks volumes about what Adkins see's as his best position if you ask me. Wouldn't have a problem relying on him as 4th choice centre back.

OS says he plays "predominantly at right-back" for the academy team, but in the latest interview he seems to describe himself as a centre-half.

We have to bring in at least one CB even if Nigel thinks Stephens can step up this season.

Well this is what he said on Twitter:

    Jack Stephens ‏@jackstephens_18
@sjam29 I've played centre back for longer but quite happy to play either mate

I think he is pretty comfortable in both to be honest, but he has played mainly RB for the U21s/U18s

We need p[layers who can cover several ositions to give us a flexible squad. Think we stil need more at the centre though.

On OS he is said to be 6'1"" tall. Not the tallest but if he can jump he should be able to cope against most.
