Off Topic 50 years on...what are your memories or thoughts of the man ?

I liked Churchill's idea of trying to get the USA to attack Russia with nuclear weapons.

Some SAS solders resign from the British Army before undertaking sensitive missions and then when they return they enlist back into the British Army.

Watchecd a documentary today on Churchill presented by Mo Molem of all people and it appears no one liked him and he didn't give a damn. Could have had a lavish war with his pile but instead went to fight on the battlefields of France. He is up there amongst those people who turn out to be of a higher calibre of person this country throws up from time to time. Montgomery was mentioned and of course Churchill's forebeaters Duke of Marlborough, Nelson, to name a couple of them.
