Everyone should be made to post a full list of their attendances and explain any obvious gaps. (Arriving late is ok though right?)
Went with my dad and big brother after nagging them ragged . I was 6 , and the game was against QPR in late 1970 , finished one each . We were in the north stand and was lifted onto the pitch side barrier close to the cars that were allowed into the north west corner back then . I can still recall the smell as I first entered BP , a combination of tobacco smoke and onions . Must have been close to Guy Fawks night as several lads were lighting bangers and standing on them as they exploded . My Dad was not amused with the fireworks.
I can't recall the second game, but I remember sending my great, great, great grand-dad a text at halftime to tell him the score. I'll check with him to see if he can send me a copy of it if he still has it. Edit: He's not responding. Think he's down the pub. I'll let you know.
I think the second game I went to was the 1-1 with Scarborough in April 99. I'm not 100% though. If not that, it was the final home game of the Escape against Torquay. I know I was at that one as I still have the ticket stashed away with the rest somewhere at my dad's. First time I saw us win. Didn't start going regular until the end of the year.
He's just told you. He was Plastic. The dwarf that was surgically enhanced with all the cosmetic surgery. Or did they drop him from the final Seven? It's a while since I've seen the film.
First Away game was Mansfield approx 1977. Dour performance, open stand, rained, lost 1-0 coach window put in. Ah well you can’t win em all.
Remember this one well v Forest. I was on the front row of South Stand seats with my Dad - I was 12 and nagging him to let me go with my mates, who went in bunkers. He was on the verge of letting me, but at that game it kicked off big style right below us, and I had to plead for a couple of months more after that.
