People are so judgmental. Just because Fredd is a poor man's American there is no need to kick him when he's already down and mixing with trailer trash.
I'm guessing you haven't been to parts of Northern Michigan. They make Pennywell look like Monte Carlo
I'm definitely anti gun as how do you defend yourself against that, you can't! However this does get my goat a bit. Of course they are going to have more related gun deaths, they have guns and we don't (generally speaking!). I guess what is their homicide rate? Just because we don't kill people with guns doesn't mean we don't have nutters going around killing people with knives or anything else they can get their hands on. We can probably correlate more guns = more deaths but it'll be interesting to see how many deaths there are. Then there is the the U.S. have 10000 deaths compared to lets say luxembourg (i've made this up) who have 50. Yes except that theres like 3000 people in luxembourg and 500m in the u.s. so actually the deaths in luxembourg count for a lot more!.
2011 comparison, gun deaths per 100,000 head of population USA 10.38 UK 0.23, this includes suicides, knives latest number for the UK is 213 2015/2016, difficult to make exact comparison but from 2009 to 2013 the figure for the USA was between 1800 and 1490 each year total recorded homicides. Here's a good figure guns per 100 citizens, USA between 90 and 101 guns per 100 citizens, UK 6.6 per 100 citizens, the USA figure is an estimate as there is no way to know fully how many guns are owned in actual fact as the laws are state applied and each has different laws, in the UK there are actually around 1.8 million licensed firearms. Just so you know population USA is around 326 million, Luxembourg is 585,623, as far as I can find there was a drop in the murder rate from 2007 in Luxembourg to 2014 when a grand total of 4 murders happened.
FYI i was taking the piss between USA and Luxembourg (as i said i made those numbers up). time to get my geek on. I'm going to hold you up right there on those states statistics (too lazy to look at more dates) in 2012 there were around 14k deaths with around 9k from guns (2k manslaughter no figures). That's around 2.8 per 100k people based on guns and 1.5 non firearm deaths (based upon the 323m population). In the UK we had 500 in 2015 so its around 0.8 per 100k people. so actually its not just guns, the barbarians across the sea just like killing other a lot more with or without guns. Guns just makes it easier. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/tables/16tabledatadecpdf https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/tables/20tabledatadecpdf P.s. my default position is against guns
